I decided to make two versions of an easel card for you today. I made both a vertical easel card, and a horizontal easel card.  For my first card I started with a 4 1/4" X 11" piece of card stock and scored it at 5 1/2" and 8 1/4". My front piece of my card is 4 1/4" X 5 1/2". I used Core 'dinations Card Maker Series Pearls paper in Starlight Pearls for my card base. This is nice heavy paper with a beautiful pearlized finish. The patterned paper is from the DCWV Black Current paper stack. The purple mat was cut at 4" X 5 1/4" and the patterned paper was cut at 3 3/4" X 5".  I also used the Core 'dinations Pearl paper for my Cricut cuts. I used my new Cricut Imagine and the Simply Charmed Cricut Cartridges to cut the bottle and it's layers at 5". Using the Imagine allowed me to create colors for the bottle and the layers that went with my patterned paper. I added some star dust stickles to the exploding champagne at the end of the bottle. The bottle was attached with foam dots to the front of my card and I added an ivory satin ribbon that I had in my stash. For the inside I used the Celebrate with Flourish Cricut Lite cartridge. I cut the first 3 layers of  Happy New Year sentiment at 1 1/2" and attached it to the lower third of my card on the inside with foam tape. This is what holds the card open.

For my horizontal version of the easel card I started with a piece of 5 1/2" X 8 1/2" card stock and scored it at 4 1/4"  and 6 3/8". My front card piece measures 4 1/4" X 5 1/2". I used all the same papers for this card as I did for the vertical card. I used the Celebrate with Flourish cartridge to cut the clock and top hat. I cut all the layers at 3 1/2" and attached it to the card front with foam dots. For the inside I created a mat with the purple paper and some of the Core 'dinations paper and stamped Celebrate in plumeria ink by Versamark. I attached this mat with the sentiment on it to the lower one third of the inside of my card with foam dots. Again, this is what holds the card open.  I hope you have enjoyed your visit.
