Celebrate Spring

A friend of mine ordered several of the new Memory Box stencils by mistake thinking they were dies. When she got them she had no idea what to do with them. I told her how I would use one so she told me to take it home and make something with it and bring it to show her. So this is what I came up with.
The stencil set was called Garden Birch Trees. Cutters Creek can now order Memory Box items so ask if you would like to order this. I started with a white piece of card stock and used some Washi Tape to tape the stencil to my paper. I used my Foam blending tool and some Tumbled Glass and Broken China Distress Ink to create my sky. I then used Shabby Shutters and Mowed Lawn to create the grass on my card. When I removed the die I had these great white Birch Trees. The next step was to figure out what to add to the card. I used a stamp with a bird on a branch from Hero Arts and stamped it with Mowed Lawn Distress Ink. I then used a small bird stamp and stamped it up into the trees using Broken China. Finally I add a small butterfly that I stamped in Mustard Seed Distress ink. I used my Lemon Spica pen to add some glitter to the butterfly. My sentiment was stamped with Broken China Distress Ink as well.

Baby Shower Invitations

I am only about 6 weeks away from becoming a grandma for the first time to a grandson! I am so excited. I just finished the baby shower invitations and thought I would share.

The bottle card cut is from the Silhouette store. The patterned papers are from K & Company Itsy Bitsy Baby Boy 8 1/2 X 8 1/2" paper pad. The pad contains some really cute papers. The image cuts so it will fit in a standard A2 size envelope. The sentiment on the front is an Echo Park print and cut image also in the Silhouette store. It was a lot of fun making all 16 of these. Now to see if we have enough.

3D Baby Project Challenge

It is time once again for a new 3D challenge over at CardzTV! The new challenge is to make a 3D baby project. This is what I came up with.

My 3D box is from the Baby Shower Cricut cartridge and is cut at 3  3/4". My sentiment is from the CardzTV stamp sets, Ticket Talk 2 . I cut the base layer of the baby cradle out of white. Then cut the top layer out of some blue polka dot paper. I stamped my sentiment on both sides of the cradle and then assembled it. It will be cute at the baby shower for my grandson with some little goodies tucked inside.

While visiting CardzTV be sure to hop over to Mary's CardzTV Stamp site and get your order in for her two new stamp sets.

If you came from Nicole's blog you are heading in the right direction. If you just dropped by please go to Mary's blog to start the hop and visit everyone's blog.

Here's what I made for today's blog hop using Cardz TV Stamps Sugar Rush Blog Hop.

This little box is quick and easy to put together. I found the SVG file for free on the internet. I downloaded and brought it into my Silhouette software to trace and cut. The patterned paper is from the DCWV Sweet paper stack. I thought the glittery chocolate paper went will with this hops theme. The bottom of the box is made with some cream colored card stock. The box is the perfect size to hold a regular size candy bar such as a Snickers, or Milky Way. These would make great party treats.

To finish the box, I added some brown ribbon that I wrapped around the box and tied in a bow. I then added my sentiment which I stamped with some Rich Cocoa Memento ink. The sentiment reads, Chocolate is a bare necessity of life! I love this stamp set.

What's a blog hop without some blog candy!  Mary will be giving 2 sets of Cardz TV Stamps for her blog candy, so if you’re a follower of Cardz TV, just leave  a comment on her blog! Mary will use random.org to pick a WINNER!!!!

Lucky Leprechaun

When I came across this cute little Hippo juggling shamrocks I just new I had to use him for a project. This is a print and cut image that I found in the Silhouette store. I used him at his default size which was about 5". For my card I started with white card stock cut and scored to may a 4 1/4" X 5 1/2" portrait style card. Next I cut a green mat at 4 1/8" X 5 3/8". The white mat is cut at 3 3/4" 5 1/4". I wanted the sides of the green mat to show a bit more to help frame my image. I ran the white mat through my eBosser and embossed it with an Anna Griffin Circle of Gold embossing folder.  When I did the embossing I left about a 1/2" at the bottom end out of the folder so it would give me a smooth place to stamp my sentiment. I just love the look of the embossing on the white card stock. The embossing folder is a special order fold and isn't stocked in the store. There are several Cuttlebug Embossing folders that are carried in the store. I used my ATG gun to adhere the mat layers together. I used some foam squares to add my hippo to the front of my card and some Scotch Quick Dry Adhesive to add the little shamrocks. Finally I stamped my sentiment with some Mowed Lawn Distress Ink.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

It time once again for a new 3D challenge over at CardzTV. Today's challenge is to make a 3D project for St. Patrick's Day. Nothing says St. Paddy's Day like a Leprechaun's hat, so that is what I made. I found the cut in the Silhouette store. I stamped me sentiment using the St. Patrick's Day stamp set, on a hand cut tag and added a small white button to the center of the shamrock.

Now it is your turn. Show us your 3D items and you might win a set of CardzTV Stamps!
