2 Creative Chicks Challenge Showcase #10

It is time once again for a new challenge over at 2 Creative Chicks.  This is what I came up with.

My card base is white card stock cut and folded to make a 4 1/4" X 5 1/2" card base. Next I added a black mat, then my patterned paper mat each cut 1/8" small than the previous layer.

Using some watercolor paper  and some water colors I created the ocean and sand for my little scallop to sit on.  I also used some pan water colors to paint the scallop.  The stamps for this image are from Lawn Fawn and so is the die for the shell fish.  I just thought this was such a cute card.

Now it is your turn. Create a project and link it up to 2 Creative Chicks.

April Showers Bring May Flowers

It is time for another inspirational post for 2 Creative Chicks.  This is what I have for you.

I started with a dark turquoise card base cut and folded to make a 4 1/4" X 5 1/2" card. Next I added a black mat cut at 4" X 5 1/4" and then the patterned paper cut at 3 3/4" X 5".  The umbrella patterned paper is from an Echo Park.

I stamped the umbrella onto watercolor paper and colored it with Spectrum Noir Aqua Pencils.  I scanned the image into my Brother Cut and Scan and had it fussy cut the image for me.  I then ran some black and turquoise paper through my big shot and used the stitched square dies from Memory Box to cut a shadow and a base mat for the umbrella.

Next I cut the flowers out using my Cricut Explore machine and using the stitched rectangle dies from Memory Box to cut a mat and shadow for my flowers.  Finally I stamped by sentiment using a stamp set from my Creative Time. The sentiment reads: April showers bring May flowers.

I hope you will join the challenge this month and let us see what you make.

2 Creative Chicks Showcase #8

It is time for another Showcase over at 2 Creative Chicks, Showcase #8.  Here is what I put together for the challenge.

I created this card using some Lawn Fawn dies, the Chirpy Chirp Chirp stamps and die sets.  I also used a stitched hillside Lawn Fawn die to create the grassy hill.  I used watercolor paint to create the green grassy area and also stamped the grass border which is from the Chirpy Chirp Chirp stamp set.  The bunnies are from an Impression Obsession die.  Finally I added some small enamel dots to represent Easter eggs.

2 Creative Chicks Showcase #7

It is time once again for a new showcase over at 2 Creative Chicks.  Here is what I made for this month's showcase.

I started with white card stock cut and folded to make a 4 1/4" X 5 1/2" card base.  I then cut a black mat at 4 1/8" X 5 3/8" and another white mat cut at 4" X 5 1/4".

For my butterflies I started with some white card stock that I distressed with some Peacock Feather, Pickled Raspberry, and Lemonade distress ink.  I then spritzed the paper with some water and allowed it to dry.  Finally using a Memory Box die, I die cut the butterfly image and adhered it to my card front.  To finish the card, I used some pink rhinestones in the upper right and lower left hand corners of the card and added some clear rhinestones to the flower centers and to the center of the single butterfly.

I hope you have enjoyed my card, and will link up your project with us.

2 Creatuve Chicks Showcase #6

Today is my first post as part of the 2 Creative Chicks Design Team.  I love that the showcases are all Anything Goes.  Here is what I created to inspire you for this showcase.

My card base is white card stock cut and scored to make a 5" X 6 1/2" card.  I embossed a piece of light pink paper with an Anna Griffin embossing folder and added it to the front of my card.  The red foil hearts are also from Anna Griffin and the foil was adhered to the hearts using my Anna Griffin Minc.  The Happy Valentine's Day is also part of the artwork I received for Valentine's Day and is foiled in pink.  I adhered the hearts to may card with some foam tape. I also adhered the sentiment with foam tape. I added a double layer of tape to the middle of the sentiment so it arched a bit across the card.  To finish my card I added some pink glittered rhinestones  to two of the corners of my card.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you will join in with this showcase, I can't wait to see what you all make.
