"Tis the Season

Deanna here with another project for the Dies R Us Inspirational blog.  Here is what I have for you today.

For my card I started with some white card stock cut and folded to make a 4 1/4" X 5 1/2" card base.  Next I added a red mat cut at 4" X 5 1/4".  Finally I added some pattern paper cut at 3 3/4" X 5".

Next came the ornament.  The dies for this ornament are from Dee's Distinctively.  Be sure to check out all her dies, they are really great dies.  This particular die is called Dee's Distinctively Elrose Ornament Large. This die cuts out just the flourished top part of the ornament.  To get the solid background for the die I used the Elrose Ornament set. I die cut both pieces using my Big Shot and adhered them together.

To finish my card I adhered the ornament straight to my card.  I used my Spectrum Noir Glitter Pen over the red layer of the ornament to give it some sparkle.

Hello everyone, Deanna here back with another project for the Dies R Us Inspirational Blog.  Here is what I have for you today.

For the tree I started with a piece of watercolor card stock that I inked with Mustard Seed, Wild Honey, Rusty Hinge, and Ripe Persimmon to create a bright fall leaf color.  Using the Dee's Distinctively Tree Topper Die to cut out the fall "leaves" for my tree.

If you don't want to use distress inks to create you card stock for your tree toppers, you can always just cut them out of some colored card stock.

Next I cut out my tree trunk using the Dee's Distinctively Tree Base 1 Die and some dark brown card stock to cut the tree base.

Once I had everything cut out I assembled the tree.  Next I went to work on the card.

The card base is Kraft card stock cut and scored to make a 4 1/4" X 5 1/2" card base.  Next I added a brown mat cut at 4" X 5 1/4" and the patterned paper mat cut at 3 3/4" X 5".  I layered all the mats together and added them to my card base. Next I stamped the sentiment using some Versamark Ink and some fine detail antique gold embossing powder to emboss my sentiment.  I used some foam tape to add the tree to my card base, and the card was done.

Friends are Special

Hi everyone, Deanna here with another project for the Dies R Us Inspirational Blog.  Here is what I have for you today.
For the card base I started with white card stock cut and folded to make a 4 1/4" X 5 1/2" base.  I added a blue mat cut at 4" X 5 1/4".  I then added a strip of green cut at 4" X 1 1/2" and added that to the bottom of the card.  Next I die cut the Summerville Landscape die from Memory Box out of white card stock.  I then colored the cut with some copic markers.

Next I cut the tree using Dee's Distinctively Dies and the Tree Base 1 die. Next I cut the tree greenery also from Dee's Distinctively Dies using the Tree Toppers Die. If you haven't checked out the Dee's Distinctively Dies yet, you should.  They offer a wide variety of dies.

Once I assembled my tree I added it to my card front along with the landscape die cut.  To some splashes of color to the card I used the Poppystamps die Butterfly Sprinkles to cut out several butterflies in different colors and added them randomly to the card front.

Finally, to finish the card, I added some Wink of Stella Clear pen to the flowers and the butterflies and my sentiment.
