BYSH Cardmakers Challenge #52

It's time for a new sketch challenge over at the BYSH Cardmakers blog and Facebook group. Let's take a look at the sketch.

The sketch this month is for a mini slim line card. My pattern papers are from Photoplay Paper. My Santa sticker is from Doodlebug.

This was such a fun sketch to play with. I hope you all will join us and play along.

My card today features some pattern paper from Photoplay Papers 12" X 12" Santa Please Stop Here paper pack.

For my card I felt like my lines and corners to get through.  Good luck everyone.

Let's Craft and Create Challenge #192 AG + Say What? Use a Sentiment

It's time for a new challenge over at Let's Craft and Create. Challenge 192 is Anything Goes with the option to Use a Sentiment. I chose to make a full front shaker card.

I started with some heavyweight white cardstock that I cut, scored and folded to make a 4 1/4" X 5 1/2" card base. Next I chose some pattern paper from an older Doodlebug paper pad in my stash. I used an A2 Full Front Shaker Card Pocket from Kat Scrappiness to make my shaker card. I cut my pattern paper about a 16th of an inch smaller than an A2 card so it would fit and the tabs fold easier. I removed the protective film of 3 of the sides of the tabs. I then added my shaker bits. I found some in my stash with colors that worked well with the pattern paper. I also added some tiny stars. I then removed the protective film from the top tab and sealed up my shaker. I then attached it to my card base with some double sided adhesive scor-tape.

I wanted to decorate the front of the card and found this cupcake in Cricut Design Space. I cut it out at 3" and adhered the layers together. I added some pink Nuvo Glitter Drops over the cupcake wrapper and cherry layers. I used more scor-tape to adhere the cupcake to the front of my card.

I foiled my sentiment with some pink foil from Spellbinders and trimmed it down. I adhered my sentiment over the wrapper of my cupcake with some liquid adhesive and foam tape.

Now it's your turn. I hope you will play along with us. Just link up your project over at Let's Craft and Create.

Thanks for stopping by.

Sunny Studio's Scaredy Cat Halloween Card.

I know it's still August but I just had to use this cute stamp and die set.

I started with stamping my image on some X Press It cardstock. I colored my image with some Arteza Everblend Alcohol markers. After the coloring was done, I used the coordinating dies to cut out my images. I  took my Nuvo Glitter pen and added some sparkle to the moon and stars. Sorry, it doesn't show up in the photo.

Next I took some heavyweight cardstock and cut, scored and folded it to make a 4 1/4" X 5 1/2" card base. Next I picked out some pattern paper from an old Doodlebug 6" X 6" paper pad. I used a stitched rectangle die by Lawn Fawn to cut the striped  paper. I wanted it to fully cover the card front. I adhered that to the card front using some liquid adhesive.

I used a Sunny Studio Stitched Semi-Circle die set to cut my purple pattern paper. I adhered my images to the semi-circle again using liquid adhesive. Next I stamped my sentiment using some Versafine Clair Nocturne ink. I used the sentiment that was included in the stamp set. I then attached to my card front using some foam tape. To embellish I added some Studio Katia Color Burst Pearls that were adhered with a dot of liquid adhesive.

Thanks for stopping by for a visit. I would love to hear what you think so feel free to leave me a comment. Have a wonderful week everyone.

Hoppy Easter

One more Easter card for your viewing pleasure. This one I made for my oldest grandson.

For this card I started with heavy weight white card stock cut, scored and folded to make a 4 1/4" X 5 1/2" card base. I cut my patterned paper to 4" X 5 1/4" and adhered it to my card base. The patterned paper is from the Doodlebug Hippity Hoppy 6" X 6" paper pad.

Next I stamped my images using the Simon Says Stamp You Make Me Hoppy stamp set that was included in their limited edition Easter card kit. I used Memento Tuxedo Black ink to stamp the images. I did some very simple coloring with some copic markers and used the matching dies to cut the images out.

Next I used a Sunny Studio Stitched Semi-Circle die to cut out another piece of heavy weight card stock. I used some Tumbled Glass distress ink and a MFT cloud stencil to create my sky. I used a Lawn Fawn grassy border die to create grass for my scene. I cut the grassy border with the same Sunny Studio Stitched Semi-Circle die to create the perfect fitting grassy border using a piece of leftover patterned paper from another Easter project. I then adhered the grassy border to the white panel that had my sky on it.

Finally I adhered my images to the scene with some foam tape and liquid adhesive. I added some Nuvo Glitter Drops in White Blizzard to the Easter egg and added a little carrot embellishment to the left of the bunny. The carrot is from another Buttons Galore Sparklitz Embellishment set called Bunny Trail.

I appreciate you stopping by to take a look. Good news, I only have one more Easter card to make. Then I move on to birthday cards for all the spring birthdays in my family.

Mini Slimline Easter Card

I know it has been a long, long time since I posted to my blog. Life has really gotten in the way of crafting. I finally had a chance to make a card.

I made a mini slimline Easter card for one of my granddaughters. My card base is heavy weight white card stock that I cut to 6" x 6" and scored and folded it to 3" X 6".

I used some mini slimline dies for the layers on my card. The dies are from Taylored Expressions. I did some partial die cutting for the first time. That proved to be a bit of a challenge for me. My scalloped layer is cut from some lavender card stock. The patterned paper is from the new Doodlebug Hippity Hoppy paper pad. All the images on my card are from the mini icons sticker sheets included in the collection. The paper and sticker sheets were included in the Simon Says Stamp Limited Edition Easter kit that I purchased. The kit is sold out now.

To finish my card I added some heart stickers from the icon sheets and some small red heart sequins that I got from Sizzix.

I hope to be back soon with another project. I did fall about 4 weeks ago and broke my left foot in 3 places and can't walk on it. I did rent a knee scooter as I just could not get coordinated enough to use the crutches. But it has presented a bit of a challenge for getting into my craft room, so please bare with me.

Thanks so much for stopping by for a visit today.
