Your So Tweet

One final Easter card for you. I made this one for my youngest granddaughter.

For this card once again I started with some heavy weight card stock that I cut, scored and folded to make a 4 1/4" X 5 1/2" card base. I cut some blue card stock down to 4 1/8" X 5 3/8".  My patterned paper is from the Echo Park Welcome Easter Collection 6" X 6" paper pad and was cut down to 4" X 5 1/4".  I adhered the patterned paper to the blue mat and attached it to my card base.

The chick is made using a die that was included in the Simon Says Stamp Limited Edition Easter kit. I think he is so cute! I cut him using some of the yellow card stock that was included in the kit. They eyes, cheeks, and beak were cut from some scrap card stock from my stash.

I assembled my chick's face using some liquid glue.  The chick cuts in two separate pieces. I popped up the top half of my chick using some foam tape and then adhered his tummy to the card flat using more liquid adhesive. I love the effect that gave to him.

My sentiments are from the Hippity Hoppy stamp set that were included in the kit. I stamped them using some of the Simon Says Stamp Hybrid Melon ink cube also included in the kit. I used my Mini Misty to stamp them on a scrap of heavy weight white card stock. I then stamped them again using Versamark ink and hit embossed them with clear embossing powder. I popped up the sentiments using some foam tape.

Thanks so much for stopping by.

Hoppy Easter

One more Easter card for your viewing pleasure. This one I made for my oldest grandson.

For this card I started with heavy weight white card stock cut, scored and folded to make a 4 1/4" X 5 1/2" card base. I cut my patterned paper to 4" X 5 1/4" and adhered it to my card base. The patterned paper is from the Doodlebug Hippity Hoppy 6" X 6" paper pad.

Next I stamped my images using the Simon Says Stamp You Make Me Hoppy stamp set that was included in their limited edition Easter card kit. I used Memento Tuxedo Black ink to stamp the images. I did some very simple coloring with some copic markers and used the matching dies to cut the images out.

Next I used a Sunny Studio Stitched Semi-Circle die to cut out another piece of heavy weight card stock. I used some Tumbled Glass distress ink and a MFT cloud stencil to create my sky. I used a Lawn Fawn grassy border die to create grass for my scene. I cut the grassy border with the same Sunny Studio Stitched Semi-Circle die to create the perfect fitting grassy border using a piece of leftover patterned paper from another Easter project. I then adhered the grassy border to the white panel that had my sky on it.

Finally I adhered my images to the scene with some foam tape and liquid adhesive. I added some Nuvo Glitter Drops in White Blizzard to the Easter egg and added a little carrot embellishment to the left of the bunny. The carrot is from another Buttons Galore Sparklitz Embellishment set called Bunny Trail.

I appreciate you stopping by to take a look. Good news, I only have one more Easter card to make. Then I move on to birthday cards for all the spring birthdays in my family.

Mini Slimline Easter Card

I know it has been a long, long time since I posted to my blog. Life has really gotten in the way of crafting. I finally had a chance to make a card.

I made a mini slimline Easter card for one of my granddaughters. My card base is heavy weight white card stock that I cut to 6" x 6" and scored and folded it to 3" X 6".

I used some mini slimline dies for the layers on my card. The dies are from Taylored Expressions. I did some partial die cutting for the first time. That proved to be a bit of a challenge for me. My scalloped layer is cut from some lavender card stock. The patterned paper is from the new Doodlebug Hippity Hoppy paper pad. All the images on my card are from the mini icons sticker sheets included in the collection. The paper and sticker sheets were included in the Simon Says Stamp Limited Edition Easter kit that I purchased. The kit is sold out now.

To finish my card I added some heart stickers from the icon sheets and some small red heart sequins that I got from Sizzix.

I hope to be back soon with another project. I did fall about 4 weeks ago and broke my left foot in 3 places and can't walk on it. I did rent a knee scooter as I just could not get coordinated enough to use the crutches. But it has presented a bit of a challenge for getting into my craft room, so please bare with me.

Thanks so much for stopping by for a visit today.
