Let's Craft and Create Challenge #208 Anything Goes Option Add a Ribbon

It's time for a new challenge over at Let's Craft and Create. The challenge this month is Anything Goes with the option to Add Ribbon.

For my card I started with a heavy weight white cardstock that was cut, scored and folded to make a standard A2 card. My pattern paper is from Lawn Fawn. It's cut to 4" X 5 1/4". The top piece is the reverse side of the bottom piece and is cut at 1 1/2". I used some green polka dotted white ribbon to cover the seam.

My flower was cut using a die from Scrapbook.com from more of the Lawn Fawn pattern paper. The leaves were cut using a die from Simon Says Stamp.

I white heat embossed my sentiment on some black cardstock and was die cut with the matching die. The sentiment and die set are from Kat Scrappiness.

Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you will head on over to  Let's Craft and Create and link up your project.

I have linked up my project to (PIN)spirational Challenges.

Let's Craft and Create Challenge #206 AG Twist Beautiful Butterflies

It's time for a new challenge at Let's Craft and Create. This month as always, the challenge is Anything Goes with the twist of Beautiful Butterflies.

My card today is a standard A2 card base. My pattern paper is from Memory Box.  My butterfly is from Cricut Design Space. I manipulated the original design, so I didn't have to place all the individual-colored pieces. Instead, I sliced those pieces out of the top layer and created a solid layer to go behind the top layer.

I ink blended some cardstock with Spun Sugar and Cracked Pistachio Distress Oxide ink and used that to cut the solid back layer. I used some silver holographic cardstock to cut my top layer of my butterfly.

I die cut a circle of more pattern paper using a 2 3/4" die. I cut my butterfly at 2 1/4".  I adhered my butterfly to my pattern paper circle with Liquid adhesive under the body and foam squares under the wings, so they had some lift.

I needed a birthday card, so stamped my sentiment on a scrap of the cardstock that was ink blended with the Cracked Pistachio Distress Oxide ink. I used a sentiment strip die to cut it out. I adhered it to my cards with some small foam squares. I embellished my card with some dark pink Spellbinders pearls.

I appreciate you stopping by today. I hope you will head on over to the Let's Craft and Create blog for more Design Team projects and then link up your project.

Let's Craft and Create Challenge #202 AG with the Option of a Vintage Feel

It's time for a new challenge over at Let's Craft and Create, Challenge #202 Anything Goes with the Option Vintage Feel, starts today. This is my project.

I started with a heavyweight Kraft cardstock that was cut, scored, and folded to make a standard A2 card base. I used some rectangle dies to cut my pattern papers down and layered them on my card base.

My image is a Print and Cut image that I cut out with my Cricut Joy Xtra. To give the image a more vintage feel, I added some Vintage Photo around the white edges. I added some foam tape behind it to pop it up on my card. I then used my Nuvo Shimmer Pen to add shimmer to my tree and sentiment. I think my tree has a little too much shimmer. I was having trouble with my shimmer pen so gave it a squeeze and added a drop to my glass mat. I then dipped the brush into my little drop of shimmer and added it to my tree and sentiment. You can definitely see the shimmer on the tree.

Well, thanks for stopping by. I hope you will head over to Let's Craft and Create and check out the rest of the inspiration by the design team, then link up your project. Hope to see you there.

Hard to believe that September is here already. It's time for a new challenge over at Let's Craft and Create. The challenge this month is of course Anything Goes with the Option to use Strips instead of Ribbon.

I started with an orange card base cut, scored and folded to make a 4 1/4" X 5 1/2" landscaped card. My pattern paper is from Echo Park Fall Fun 6" X 6" paper pad. I cut my plaid paper to 4" X 5 1/4" and adhered it to my card base with liquid adhesive.

I cut my paper strips using the A2 Stitched Strip dies from Kat Scrappiness. I used 2 different sizes and some scraps from another Echo Park Fall paper pad. I adhered those to the card front with liquid adhesive.

My yellow patterned paper is cut to 2 1/2" X 3 1/4". I added some thin foam tape to the back before adhering it to the front of the card. I then added some stickers to the panel from the Fall Fun sticker sheet. To finish it up I added 3 dark chocolate pearls in the upper right hand corner of the yellow panel.

Now, I hope you will head on over to the Let's Craft and Create blog and checkout all the other inspiration from the design team. Then link up your project. Hope to see you there.

Let's Craft and Create Challenge #198 AG - Use Polka Dots and/or Stripes

Wow time sure is zipping by. It's time for a new challenge over at Let's Craft and Create. Challenge #198 starts today

. The challenge is Anything Goes with the option to us Polka Dots and/or Stripes. I decided to use both.

I started with heavyweight white cardstock cut, scored and folded to make a standard 4 1/4" X 5 1/2" A2 card base. I chose pattern papers from a MFT 6" X 6" paper pad.

I cut the polka dotted pattern paper to 4" X 5 1/4" and matted it with some lilac card stock cut to 4 1/8" X 5 3/8".I adhered those together and add them to my card base using liquid adhesive.

I found my image in the Silhouette Design Store, printed it and cut it out after sizing to 3 1/4" high.

I used the largest die in the Hello Bluebird nesting half circle dies to cut my diagonal striped paper. I turned it on its side and adhered my birthday gnome to the pattern paper. I popped it up with some foam tape and attached it to the card front.

I stamped my sentiment with some Hero Arts Orchid ink on a scrap of white cardstock using the Honeybee Stamps Birthday Wishes stamps and dies.

Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you will head over to Let's Craft and Create and check out the great projects by the rest of the Design Team and then link up your project.

Let's Craft and Create Challenge #197 Anything Goes - Add Flowers

Wow! Summer has arrived in a big way here. It's time for a new challenge at Let's Craft and Create. Our challenge for July is Anything Goes with the option to Add Flowers. This is my take on the challenge.

This image was a Print then Cut image that I found in the Silhouette Design Store. I sized my image to about 3" tall. After printing it, I used my Silhouette Portrait to cut it out. I cut three more of the images without printing them out of the cardstock leftover from the Print and Cut image. What I did was duplicated the image. I then ungrouped the image and deleted the flowers which left me with just the red cut line of the image. I then duplicated that two more times and arranged them on my mat to the right and underneath the Print then Cut image. After reading the registration marks my Portrait cut out the image I printed along with the other 3 blank images. I then adhered the layers all together which added some dimension and stability to my image. I then white heat embossed my sentiment onto the pot the flowers were in.

I started with heavyweight white cardstock that was cut, scored and folded to make a 4 1/4" X 5 1/2" card base. The pattern paper I chose was from a Honeybee Stamps 6" X 6" paper pad. I cut it down to 4 1/4" X 5 1/2" so it covered my entire card front. To finish the card I added some blue confetti to the front.

Thanks for stopping by. I hope you will head over to Let's Craft and Create and play along with us. See you there.

Let's Craft and Create - It's Hip to be Square

Hard to believe it's June already! But that means it's time for a new challenge at Let's Craft and Create. The challenge this month is Anything Goes with the option It's Hip to be Square. Make a square card. This is my project.

It was about 90 degrees here the day I made my card so of course it had to be cooling. I started with some heavy weight white cardstock that I cut, scored and folded to make a 5 1/2" X 5 1/2" card base.

I found this fun diagonal striped paper that is cut to 5 1/4" X 5 1/4" and adhered to my card base with liquid adhesive. I then cut a blue cardstock mat to 4 1/2" X 4 1/2" and adhered my snow cone paper to it with liquid adhesive. My snow cone paper is cut to 4 1/4" X 4 1/4". I adhered this to my card base with some foam tape.

My snow cone is a print then cut image from the Silhouette store. I used an arch die to cut a piece of pink vellum to attach my snow cone to my card. I used some thin foam squares to attach the snow cone to the vellum. I then added liquid adhesive just behind the snow cone to adhere it to my card.

Now it's your turn. Can't wait to see what you make. Head on over to Let's Craft and Create and link up your project. Thanks for stopping by.

Let's Craft and Create Challenge #194 Anything Goes Option Pink and Grey

April has arrived and so has a new challenge at Let's Craft and Create. Challenge #194 starts today. This month's challenge is Anything Goes with the option to use pink and grey. I made this birthday card for my sister using the challenge theme.

For my card I started with heavyweight white cardstock cut, scored, and folded to make a 4 1/4" X 5 /2" landscape card base. I added a piece of dark grey and white polka dotted pattern paper.

For my tulips I used the Glimmer Kit of the Month from Spellbinders for February. The glimmer plate came with a die and bright pink foil. I foiled the image on some white cardstock with the bright pink foil. I then colored in my tulips using my Spectrum Noir Triblend brush markers. Then I used the die to cut out the tulips. I adhered the tulips to my card base with some foam tape.

To finish my card I foiled my sentiment with the bright pink foil using my Spellbinders Glimmer system and cut it out with a sentiment die. I popped up the sentiment using foam tape.

Finally, I added some pink confetti to finish my card.

Now it's your turn. Link up your project over at Let's Craft and Create. Can't wait to see what you all make.

Thanks for stopping by today. I apologize that it's been awhile since I have posted a project. I had total knee replacement surgery mid March and it has been hard for me to get into my craft room.

Let's Craft and Create Challenge #193 Anything Goes - Add Buttons

It's time for a new challenge over at Let's Craft and Create. Challenge #193 starts today and is Anything Goes - Add Buttons. This is what I came up with.

My card is a standard A2 card made from heavyweight white cardstock. I used some Paper Rose Cozy Day pattern paper that I received in a Simon Says Stamp card kit. It's cut to 4" X 5 1/4". I thought it looked like raindrops. I used more of that pattern paper to cut my umbrella using Spellbinders Umbrella Bloom Etched Dies. I added some thin foam tape between the front and back layers of the umbrella to give it some dimension. The flowers and leaves are dies included with the umbrella.

I added the pattern paper to my card base with liquid adhesive as well as the umbrella and flowers and leaves. My sentiments are from the Spellbinders I've got you Covered stamp and die set.

To finish my card I added 3 small orange buttons to the upper right hand side of my card.

Now it's your turn. Head on over to Let's Craft and Create and check out all the Design Team projects, then link your project up.

Let's Craft and Create Challenge #192 AG + Say What? Use a Sentiment

It's time for a new challenge over at Let's Craft and Create. Challenge 192 is Anything Goes with the option to Use a Sentiment. I chose to make a full front shaker card.

I started with some heavyweight white cardstock that I cut, scored and folded to make a 4 1/4" X 5 1/2" card base. Next I chose some pattern paper from an older Doodlebug paper pad in my stash. I used an A2 Full Front Shaker Card Pocket from Kat Scrappiness to make my shaker card. I cut my pattern paper about a 16th of an inch smaller than an A2 card so it would fit and the tabs fold easier. I removed the protective film of 3 of the sides of the tabs. I then added my shaker bits. I found some in my stash with colors that worked well with the pattern paper. I also added some tiny stars. I then removed the protective film from the top tab and sealed up my shaker. I then attached it to my card base with some double sided adhesive scor-tape.

I wanted to decorate the front of the card and found this cupcake in Cricut Design Space. I cut it out at 3" and adhered the layers together. I added some pink Nuvo Glitter Drops over the cupcake wrapper and cherry layers. I used more scor-tape to adhere the cupcake to the front of my card.

I foiled my sentiment with some pink foil from Spellbinders and trimmed it down. I adhered my sentiment over the wrapper of my cupcake with some liquid adhesive and foam tape.

Now it's your turn. I hope you will play along with us. Just link up your project over at Let's Craft and Create.

Thanks for stopping by.

Let's Craft and Create Challenge #190 AG Option Inspired by a Song

I can't believe that it's December already! That means it's time for a new challenge over at Let's Craft and Create. Challenge #190 is Anything Goes with the Option Inspired by a Song.  I chose the song Winter Wonderland.

I started with some heavyweight white cardstock that I cut, scored and folded to make a 4 1/4" X 5 1/2" card base.  Next, I went to Cricut Design Space and added a 4" X 5 1/4" rectangle to my canvas. I then added an oval and subtracted it out of my rectangle.  I then found an image of some trees that were welded to a circle. I removed everything I didn't need, duplicated it and flipped it. I then welded the trees to my oval along with a snow bank.  I also found a snowman for my scene. I cut the snowman and trees out of white glitter cardstock.

For my sky I started with some light blue cardstock cut to 4" X 5 1/4". I then didt some ink blending with some Distress Oxide inks. I then used a Snow-fetti stencil and some iridescent Gina K Glitz Glitter gel to add snow to my sky.

After the snowflakes were dry, I assembled my card. I added some foam tape to the back of the trees and adhered it to my sky. I used some liquid adhesive and tucked my snowman behind the center of the snow bank. Lastly, I cut a small cardinal out of some red foil cardstock and adhered it next to the trees on the right. I then used liquid adhesive to attach my scene to my card base.

For my sentiment I found the curved banner under shapes in Cricut Design Space. I typed out my sentiment. After choosing my font, I used the curve feature to curve the sentiment to fit the curve of my banner. I then changed the sentiment from cut to pen and attached it to the banner. I used a blue glitter gel pen and had my Maker write out my sentiment on some white cardstock and then cut the banner out. I then added some thin foam tape behind the sentiment and adhered it to my card.

Now it's your turn. Head over to Let's Craft and Create for more inspiration and to link up your project. Thanks for stopping by. Hope to see you there.

Let's Craft and Create Challenge #189 AG + Let's Get Sketchy

Wow, November has arrived already and that means it's time for a new challenge over at Let's Craft and Create. Challenge #189 is Anything Goes with the option of using a sketch. The sketch I used was designed by Crystal Minkler for Tawny Owl Paperie. Here is a look at the sketch.

I followed the measurements from the sketch for my card.  The pattern paper I used is from the Carta Bella Welcome Autumn 6" X 6" paper pad.  My image is from the silhouette store. It was a print and cut image that I saved as a png file. I uploaded the image to Cricut Design Space, and added a 2 1/2" white circle behind my image. I then added some text that I used the curve function for. I then flattened everything to the white circle. I printed my image out and had my Maker cut it out. I added my image to my card with some foam dots. To finish my card, I added some sequins that I had in my stash that had colors that matched my pattern paper.

Now it's your turn. Head on over to Let's Craft and Create and link up your project.

I appreciate you stopping by today.  would love to hear from you so leave me a comment. Hope to see you soon.

Let's Craft and Create Challenge #188 AG + The Colors of Fall

There is a new challenge over at Let's Craft and Create. Challenge #188 is Anything Goes with the option of The Colors of Fall (Use any or all of these colors - red, yellow, orange, brown). This is my project.

For my card I started off with some heavyweight white cardstock, cut, scored and folded to make a 4 1/4" X 5 1/2" card base. Next, I cut a piece of pattern paper to 4" X 5 1/4". My pattern paper is from an Echo Park Welcome Autumn 6" X 6" Mega Pad. I used a dark brown solid from the same paper pad and die cut it with Pink Fresh Studio's Geo Tiles coverplate die. I applied an adhesive sheet to the back of the paper before die cutting it so it was easier to adhere to my pattern paper. After I had those layered together, I attached them to my card base with liquid adhesive.

The leaves were cut from colored cardstock using an Autumn Leaves die set from Spellbinders. I heat embossed the word fall with some gold embossing powder and die cut it out using the matching dies from Honeybee Stamps. The word Greetings is from the same Honeybee stamp set and was also embossed in gold. I popped up my fall sentiment with foam tape. To finish the card, I added some gold pearls.

Now I hope you will pop on over to Let's Craft and Create to look at the inspiration provided by the rest of the Design Team and link up your project. We would love to have you join us.

Let's Craft and Create Challenge #187 AG Frame It!

It's time for a new challenge over at Let's Craft and Create. The challenge this month is Anything Goes with the option to Frame It; this is what I came up with for my design team project.

I started with heavyweight white cardstock that was cut, scored and folded to make a 4 1/4" X 5 /2" card base. Since this project is for September, I decided to go with a more fall color scheme. My pattern paper is from a very old Echo Park paper pad. The leaf paper was cut to 4 1/4" X 5 1/2" and adhered to my card base with liquid adhesive. I used a narrow scallop frame die from Memory Box to cut my yellow pattern paper frame. The green pattern paper is the reverse side of the tallow. My Hello sentiment is from a new MFT Stamp set. I heat embossed it on the green pattern paper using some cream embossing powder from Simon Says Stamp. I popped up my frame using some narrow foam strips. I used liquid adhesive to adhere the green pattern paper to my card front.

The small flowers and leaves were die cut from colored cardstock scraps using a Spellbinders die. I adhered those around the upper left and lower right-hand corners of my frame. I added some small gold-colored gems from Honeybee Stamps to the center of some of my flowers. I then stamped a secondary sentiment from a Simon Says Stamp Tiny Words sentiment stamp on more of that green paper using the cream embossing powder and adhered that directly to my card.

Now it's your turn. Link up your projects over at Let's Craft and Create. Hope to see you there. Thanks for stopping by.

Let's Craft and Create Challenge #185 AG - Fun in the Sun

Hard to believe it is July already! It's time for a new challenge over at Let's Craft and Create. The new challenge is Anything Goes - Fun in the Sun.  I saw this panda enjoying the sun and thought it was so cute I had to use him. I flattened the image after adding my sentiment and flattening it to my shape I wanted. The pattern paper is from a Bo Bunny 6" X 6" paper pad I've had in my stash.

My card base is heavyweight white cardstock cut, scored and folded to make a 4 1/4" X 5 1/2" card base. My pattern paper covers my entire card front. I thought the scalloped paper looked like water. I popped up my image with foam tape and finished it off with some little clay hearts.

Now it's your turn. Hop on over to Let's Craft and Create and get your project linked up. Hope to see you there.
