Welcome to the Cutters Creek Design Team Fathers Day Blog Hop! If you just came from Lori's Blog, you are in the right place! If you just happened upon my blog today and you want to hop from the beginning, and play for the Grand Prize you can start from the Cutters Creek Design Team Blog and check out Chris' great project! The objective for our Blog Hop this weekend is to inspire you to create something beautiful for all of the "Fathers" in your life! We have a bit of everything, from cards to gift ideas to layouts about our fathers!
I have two projects for you today. My first project is a Father's Day card. I started with a piece of white card stock cut and folded to make a 4 1/4" X 5 1/2" card base. I added a black mat cut at 4" X5 1/4" and then my patterned paper mat cut at 3 3/4" X 5". My card is based on this patterned paper which is from the Echo Park Happy Days 6" X 6" paper pack and are pop bottle lids. I then added a black mat cut at 2" X 3 3/4". For my sentiment I cut the word Pop using the font from the Birthday Bash cartridge out of Chipboard at 1 3/4". I then painted the edges with my Sunshine Yellow Paint Dabber. To cover the top of my letters I cut the word pop again this time from a piece of blue card stock from the Mod Squad paper pack. To give my letters even more dimension and shine and covered them with some Glossy Accents. I also adhered the letters down with some Glossy Accents as well.
My second project is for a Father's Day give my my hubby. I used my Imagine and the Snapshot Texture Patterned cartridge to fill the toolbox cut from the Sweet Tooth boxes project cartridge. I cut the box at 9".
Doesn't the pattern on the box look great? I overfilled it with the little snickers so it wasn't closing correctly, sorry about that. I used scor tape to adhere my box together. On the inside I cut the sentiment from the Celebrate with Flourish lite cartridge at 2 1/4" and attached it to the inside of the lid. My hubby is going to love this.
And what is a blog hop without blog candy???? Of course Cutter's Creek is giving away a super prize but for stopping by and leaving me a comment I have a little something for someone.
