Thinking of You Card

Here is a Thinking of You card I made this afternoon using my Cricut Imagine. I started with a 4 1/4" X 5 1/2" white card base. I added a pink mat cut at 4" X 5 1/4". Using my Imagine I flooded a 5 1/2" square with the blue pattern from the Better Together Imagine cartridge. Once it was printed and cut I cut it down with my paper trimmer to 3 3/4" X 5". The little tree with the birds and the flowers is also from the Better Together Cricut Imagine cartridge and is on page 6 of the handbook. I used the layer feature on the Imagine and cut all the layers at 4". I used my Zig two way glue pen to glue down the tree, leaves and flowers. I pop dotted the two little birds for dimension. I added a piece of green ribbon along the bottom of the card because I thought the pattern in the ribbon gave the illusion of grass. I added a small white button to each end of the ribbon and tied a knot bow with a scrap of the same ribbon and added it to the base of the tree. The sentiment is a clear stamp I had in my stash and was stamped with Colorbox Chestnut Roan chalk ink. To finish the card I used my Sakura white gel pen to add some faux stitching along the edge of the pink mat. I also to the white gel pen and highlighted some of the dots that were on the flowers. Finally I took my Sakura glitter pen and drew over the little lines in the flowers and colored the centers for some sparkle. It doesn't really show up in the photo but looks great in person. Thanks for visiting.
