Thank You Card

20110213_7 I created this thank you card for a co-worker who dropped off a veggie tray and some desserts for us to take to my Mother-in-Law’s Memorial gathering yesterday. The gathering turned out well and there were a lot more people who showed up then we anticipated.

For my card I started with a 4 1/4” X 5 1/2” cream colored card stock base. The images are all from the Nursery Tales Cricut Imagine cartridge. I used one of the new stock images the 2:3 image and sized it to 4” and flooded it with the solid brown from the color pallet. I also used the scalloped rectangle from the stock Imagine images and sized it to 3.8” and flooded it with a pink pattern from the pattern pallet. I had to cut off about 1” from the brown mat. The mushroom image was cut on the Imagine using the layers feature and was cut at 3”. I applied the base layer flat to the card and used some foam tape to add the mushroom cap. I used a double layer of foam tape to add the butterfly at the top of the mushroom. I added the wing layer by applying glue to just the section next to the body so it would pop up a little. The little blue dragonfly was also added to directly to the card. The little pieces of grass were cut using the Create-a-Critter Cricut cartridge and were cut at .8 and .6 inches and were flooded with green from the cartridge color pallet. I inked the edges of the brown and pink patterned pieces lightly with some brown chalk ink. I used my Sakura clear gel glitter pen to add some glitter to the center of the flowers on the mushroom and the butterfly. I stamped a sentiment with the same brown ink I used to ink the edges. For the finishing touch I added some light pink gems to the upper left and lower right hand corners.  Thanks for visiting.
