Just Soaking up Rays
Here is a quick card I made this afternoon. I was not soaking up any rays! We were having thunderstorms, lots of rain and hail. This was as close to sun as I could get today.
My card base is white card stock cut and folded to make a 4 1/4" X 5 1/2" card base. I added some orange striped paper cut at 3" X 5 1/4" and a yellow stripped paper cut at 2" X 5 1/4". Both patterned papers are by Echo Park. I then added white strip of paper cut at 3/4" X 5 1/4" to cover my seam. I stamped the sentiment Just Soaking up Rays in Dandelion Memento Ink, The sentiment is from the "Fun in the Sun" sentiment stamp from Cardz TV.
For my image I used the Pack Your Bags cricut cartridge. I cut all the layers at 3 1/2". I colored all the layers with the colors from the Best Friends Imagine cartridge. For the blue striped pieces on the umbrella and the lounge I colored those from the Bubblegum Stripes Imagine cartridge. I layered everything together and attached it to my card with some foam tape. For my "sun" I used a clear yellow button that I ran some pale yellow and white striped bakers twine through and tied in a bow. I also added some light orange buttons to the lower right hand corner of my card.
I am entering this card in the Vacation Card challenge over at Paper Playtimes.
