Happy Easter

Deanna here with an inspirational post for the Dies R Us inspirational blog.  Today I have an Easter card for you.

My card base was white card stock cut and scored to make a 4 1/4" X 5 1/2" card.  I added an aqua mat cut at 4" X 5 1/4" and the pattern paper mat cut at 3 3/4"  X 5".

Next I die cut and embossed my Memory Box Bunny Silhouette die out of some yellow card stock.

Next I cut out my Easter eggs using the Poppystamps Easter Egg Party die set.

I chose to use the two smaller eggs for my card.  I cut them from white card stock and painted them with some Nuvo Mousse.

The Nuvo Mousse is water soluble. To paint with it I put a small amount of the colors I wanted to use on an acrylic block and spritzed them with water.  I then used a small paint brush to paint my eggs and let them dry.

The last thing I die cut was the Happy Easter sentiment using the Memory Box Perky Script Happy Easter die.

Finally I was ready to assemble my card.  I adhered all the mats onto my card base. I then adhered the bunny image with some foam tape.  Next, I tucked the Easter eggs into each side of the bush with the bunny and finally added my Happy Easter sentiment and the card was done.

Think Spring!

 Deanna here with a Spring inspirational post for the Dies R Us blog.  Here is what I have for you today.

I started with yellow card stock that I cut and folded to make a 4 1/4" X 5 1/2" landscape style card.  I added a black mat cut at 4" X 5 1/4" and then the patterned paper mat cut at 3 3/4" X 5".  I love the little clouds on the patterned paper and thought they went with the whimsy of the bird houses.  The birdhouses were cut from the Tutti Designs Birdhouse Garden die.

Be sure to use your Tutti Design adapter plate when cutting this die.  It makes it so much easier to get a clean cut and to remove the image from the die.

I adhered all the layers together and attached the die cut image to the front of my card using some liquid adhesive.  To finish the card I added some enamel dots from the Nuvo Crystal Gloss Drops in Dandelion Yellow on the front of the card to add some additional interest.

Happy Birthday

Deanna here with another inspirational post for the Dies R Us inspirational blog.  Today I have a birthday card for you.

I started by die cutting the Frantic Stamper Birthday Grid on some orange patterned paper.

Next I taped a stencil down to some white card stock and using some Nuvo Glitter Paste in white and a pallet knife I added some glitter to the card stock and let it dry.

Can you see all the glitter on the card stock.  When it is dry it doesn't rub off so it is a great way to add glitter to a project.  Once the glitter paste was dry I finished my card.  The sentiment was cut from Tutti Designs Happy and Birthday word dies.  I used the smaller set of words from the dies.

Heartfelt Wishes

Deanna here with a more masculine card today for the Dies R Us Inspirational Blog.  Here is what I have for you today.

To make my card I started with some Kraft card stock cut and folded to make a 4 1/4" X 5 1/2" side fold card.  Next I added a green mat cut at 4 1/8" X 5 3/8" and a patterned paper mat cut at 4" X 5 1/4".

For the image on the card I started by die cutting the Memory Box Wildflower Oval Frame die out of some green card stock.

 For the blue layer I noticed that the Wildflower die works with the Open Studio Oval dies.  All I did was match up the size, in this case 4.8" X 3.6" and die cut an oval die using my Open Studio Stitched Oval Layers dies.

Finally I cut the Poppy Stamps Grazing Deer die out of some brown and Kraft card stock.

I adhered my dies to my card front and stamped me sentiment.  I think this is a great masculine card for a birthday, happy valentines day, congratulations or just about any other occasion.

Be Mine

Deanna here with another fun project for the Dies R Us inspirational blog.  Here is what I made for you today.

To make the card I started out with some pink card stock that I cut and folded to make a 4 1/4" X 5 1/2" card base.  Next I added a black mat cut at 4 1/8" X 5 3/8".  Then I cut and embossed a piece of white card stock that was 4" X 5 1/4".

Next I die cut the Tutti Design Heart Flower Garden die out of some more of that pink card stock using my Big Shot and my adapter plate.  The adapter plate is really worth buying..  It makes cutting these intricate dies so much easier.

 Finally I assembled my card and finished it with some iridescent sequins. Next I stamped my sentiment and fussy cut it out and adhered it to my card and the card is done.

Hi everyone, Deanna here with another project for the Dies R Us Inspirational Blog.  Here is what I have for you today.

To make the shaped circle card I started with a 4" X 4" stitched circle die from Memory Box. 

To make the shaped circle card I started with a piece of card stock cut at 5" X 10" and folded it in half.  I placed my die on the card stock with one side of the die on the side of the folded card stock.  See the picture above.  By doing this the die won't cut the card stock where it is hanging over the fold.

Once die cut you will have a shaped circle card ready to decorate.

If you want to you could cut a 4" X 4" red circle and adhere it to the card front to cover the folded area.  I chose not to do that.  I did cut a 3.3" X 3.3" out of white card stock.

Next I took the Heart Party Craft Circle die from Memory Box.  I cut the die out of some red glitter card stock and attached it to the center of my white circle.  Next I used the Tutti Designs Love Die and using the bigger of the two dies cut a red and black Love.  I offset them slightly and adhered them together and then to my card front.  Once done you end up with this card. Be sure to use your metal adapter plate to help insure a great cut with this fine detail die.

Bird Tapestry

Deanna here with another inspirational post for the Dies R Us blog.  Here is what I have for you today.

To make my card I started with a piece of yellow card stock and using the biggest die in the Lawn Fawn Stitched Stackable Rectangle dies cut a piece of card stock 4 1/4" X 5 1/2".  I used some Post-it tape to hold the die in place while cutting it.

Next I took some lavender card stock and using the Bird Tapestry die from Tutti Designs and die cut may bird mat. Again I used some removable Post-It tape to hold the die in place while I cut it.

To finish my card I adhered the tapestry layer to the stitched rectangle layer and then added everything to some yellow card stock that was cut and scored to make a 4 1/4" X 5 1/2" card base.
I chose not to add a sentiment to my card at this time because there are just so many possible occasions that you could use this card.  I think it would be perfect for a birthday, just because, hello, sympathy, get well . . . The list is endless.
