GIrls Just Want to have Fun

We are well into the busy birthday months for me so today I have a birthday card for a co-worker. I started with a white card stock card base cut and scored to make a 5" x 6 1/2" card base. I added a light aqua mat cut at 4 7/8" X 6 3/8". I used a new Anna Griffin embossing folder called Eleanors Lace and embossed a piece of lavender card stock cut at 4 3/4" X 6 1/4" using my eBosser. Got to love my eBosser. I love not cranking and it just flows through smoothly. I then used a new die I also go as part of my package with the Anna Griffin embossing folders. It was cut out of a dark turquoise card stock from my stash. I adhered my mats together with some Scotch Adhesive Dot Roller Adhesive. Kim doesn't stock them in the store (hint, hint) but she can order them and the refills for you. Okay, so call me crazy, but I really wanted that die cut image popped up!  So Kool Tak 3D Clear Foam on a Roll to the rescue! I love this product and it is one of my favorite products I have bought from Cutters Creek!! The advantage to using the Kool Tak Clear Foam is that it is clear. I also love  the one on the roll so I can cut any size I need. It worked perfect to pop up my die cut. Finally, I cut a small square piece of what card stock and used a border punch on it. Then cut a lavender piece of card stock that embossed my sentiment with Wow! embossing powder. I used Port and Brandy from a limited edition set called Girls Nigh Out! Love this embossing powder. Want me to let you in on a little secret. I could not emboss with embossing powder if my life depended on it!! UNTIL I found the Wow! embossing powder.. So this too, is one of my favorite products I have ever purchased from Cutters Creek.  If you haven't tried you, you should order a few colors and give it a try. You won't regret it! All Hearts Come Home for Christmas

I have one more Christmas card for you today. My card base is Kraft card stock cut and scored to make a 4 1/4" X 5 1/2" card base. My dark red mat is cut at 4" X 5 1/4" and the patterned paper is cut at 3 3/4" X 5". The red mat and the patterned paper is from My Minds Eye. The images on my card are from the new Tim Holtz Sizzix Framelits Stamps and Dies. The set I used is called Holiday Joy. I cut all the dies using my eBosser and the magnetic mat. I used markers to color my tree stamps so I could have green trees and brown trunks. The deer was stamped with Gathered Twigs Distress Ink, this is a great brown and a wonderful addition to your Distress Ink pads. For the snowflakes I stamped them with some Versamark and embossed them with some WOW! Neutral Ultra Shimmer Glitter embossing powder. I adhered the trees directly to my card stock using some Scotch Quick Dry Adhesive. The snowflakes and the deer are adhered with some foam squares. My sentiment is stamped with Cottage Ivy Memento Ink. I hope you all will try these new Sizzix Framelits Stamps and Dies. They are so versatile. The die set I used for my card today could just as easily be made for a spring, summer or fall card simply by changing the papers. I think the images from this dies and stamp set would make a great masculine card for a birthday as well. Kim still has a few left in the store, so hop on over and check them out. Cutters Creek Design Team 12 Days of Christmas

Welcome to the Cutters Creek Design Team's Twelve Days of Christmas. We are so happy you are joining us. Today is day 9 of our event.

Today I have for you a 5" X 7" card.  My card base is white card stock. I cut a piece of dark blue card stock 4 1/2" X 6 1/2". I stamped my image with some Versamark ink and embossed it using Opaque White WOW! embossing powder. To give the allusion that it's snowing, I added some Shabby White Fran-Tage. Next I cut another piece of white card stock about 3". I used a Memory Box die called Country Landscape to cut the top of my card stock. (AND Yes, Kim can now order the Memory Box dies, just ask). Next I added some glitter to the "snow" so it would glisten and then added it to my blue card stock. Once I had all of that attached to my card base I cut a Snowflake Doily from the Cricut Paper Trimmings cartridge. This was cut at 1 1/2" out of blue card stock. I then cut a 1" circle out of white card stock and embossed my Happy Holidays sentiment using some Bodacious Blue WOW! glitter embossing powder. Thanks so much for visiting today. Belated Birthday Card

I had to make a birthday card for a co-worker's birthday that we missed. I started with a wooden flower embellishment from Kaisercraft. I painted the flower using Sailboat Blue Paint Dabber. Once the flower was dry I embossed the flower with some Bodacious Blue WOW embossing glitter embossing powder. My card is a white card stock base cut and folded to make a 4 1/4" X 5 1/2" card. I added a blue mat cut at 4" X 5 1/4". My patterned paper is from my stash. The floral paper was cut at 3 1/2" X 3 3/4". The striped piece was cut at 1 1/2" X 3 3/4". I took a strip of the blue paper and used a scallop punch to create a little border between the two different papers. I also added a strip of blue to the upper half of my card. I then attached my flower embellishment using a craft glue dot. I stamped my sentiment on a piece of white card stock using some Memento Danube Blue ink. I used the ink pad to ink around the edges of the white card stock. On the inside of the card, I added a strip of the floral paper and stamped the rest of my sentiment using the Danube Blue ink.
