Forever and Always

I have one more Valentine's Day card for you today. My card base is white card stock cut and scored to make a 5" X 7" card base. I cut a red mat at 4 3/4" X 6 3/4" and the patterned paper mat at 4 1/2" X 6 1/2".  All the layers were adhered together using my ATG gun. My image was cut using my Cricut Expression and the Love Struck cartridge at 4". After adhering the two  layers together with some Scotch Quick Dry Adhesive I sprayed it with some Iridescent Glitter Dust.  I adhered it to my card front with some foam squares. My sentiment was stamped with Memento Love Letter ink (my new favorite red).  This can be ordered for you, just ask. Finally I added some red pearls to the sentiment mat. Thanks for stopping by.

All Occasion Card

I recently signed up for Kim's 6 X 6" paper pad club and received this gorgeous Authentic paper pad called Remembrance. It is  filled with lots of dark deep purples and light lavenders and greens. I absolutely love it!!

So today I have a card I made using several papers from that paper pad. In fact the only paper not from the pad, is the white card stock card base. I hope you love it as much as I do. I started with a white card base cut and scored to make a 4 1/4" X 5 1/2" card base.  I then cut a dark purple mat also 4 1/4" X 5 1/2" and adhered it to my card. I wanted the dark purple to show but not the white card base. I then picked 4 patterned papers from the pack and cut them at 2 1/2" x 1 7/8" and adhered them to my purple mat. I used my ATG gun to adhere the mats down. I was browsing through the silhouette store and came across this lacy butterfly and flower cut out which I fell in love with. Of course I had to use it for my card. I cut the top layer out of more of the dark purple paper from the paper pad. The cut did not come with a back layer so I used the offset feature in the software to create a back layer which I cut out of white card stock. I used my Scotch Quick Dry Adhesive to adhere these two layers together. I allowed it try and then sprayed it lightly with some Iridescent Glitter Dust. (Another favorite product of mine!). I had this little wooden butterfly in my stash so I painted it with some Seedless Preserves Distress Stain. (This is a special order item, contact Kim through the store customer service link for information on how to order). Once that dry I spritzed it with some Lavender Fresh Glitter Mist spray. I attached the circle to the center of my card using some foam pads I received from Kim as a gift for being in her Adhesive club. (That was an awesome club to be a part of. Be sure to sign up for the Cutters Creek Yahoo group to get the inside scoop on the clubs.) I used some small glue dots to attach my butterfly to the circle. I haven't added a sentiment to my card because I think it could be used for many different occasions, like Birthday, Thinking of You, Get Well, or even a Sympathy card.

Joy Snowflake Card

My husband  bought me a Silhouette Cameo for Christmas and naturally I had to test it out to be sure it worked properly. I bought the Joy Snowflake card from the Silhouette store.

My card base is a 5" X 7" prescored white card base. I cut my patterned paper at 4 1/2" X 6 1/2" and adhered it to my card. For my snowflake I cut this image at 4 1/4" using white cardstock for the top layer and a dark blue for the base layer. Once I had them assembled I sprayed them with some Iridescent glitter dust and attached them to my card fronts with some foam tape.

Poinsettia Die Card

I recently picked up the Tim Holtz Tattered Poinsettia die and the embossing folder that matches the die. Here is what I did with it.

I started with a cream colored card base cut and scored to 4 1/4" X 5 1/2". I added a red mat cut to 4" X 5 1/4" and a patterned paper mat cut at 3 3/4" X 5". The patterned paper is from an Echo Park paper pad.

I ran my poinsettia die through my eBosser and cut the flower layers out of white card stock. I then inked them using the Festive Berries Distress Ink and Peeled Paint for the leaves. I used some Tarnished Brass distress stain for the flower center. Once I had them all inked and allowed them to dry for a few minutes I embossed them with the embossing folder and my eBosser. I just love how the flower looks after it is embossed. I will say that the flower is fairly fragile once it is embossed and I did tear off a leaf but just glued it to the back of the flower where it was supposed to go. Once I had my flower all put together I sprayed it lightly with some Gold Glitter Dust. It is really pretty in person.

I stamped my sentiment with some Memento Lady Bug red ink.

I have two projects for you today. My first project is a Fall/Thanksgiving Wreath. All of my leaves were cut using my eBosser and the Cheery Lynn Dimensional Large Leaves Die Set. I love this die set, you get 4 different leaf styles and sizes as well as an acorn die. For my wreath, I used all the leaves, and inked them with Distress Inks in fall colors. (I used Rusty Hinge, Mustard Seed, and Spice Marmalade, and Ripe Persimmon.  I then sprayed my leaves and acorns with some Gold Glitter Dust.I used some acorns that I found at my local LSS for added dimension. I adhered my leaves to a grape vine wreath that I picked up at my local craft store.with my hot glue gun as well as the acorns. Finally I cut my sentiment With Gratitude from the Phrases Cricut Cartridge at 3". If you need this cartridge Kim at Cutter's Creek can order it for you. I added some ribbon to hang my wreath.

For my second project, I went with a Christmas theme.

I found what was called a floating frame at my local craft store. The frame was already black but because it was on clearance there were a few nicks in it. I took some Black Soot Distress Ink and a sponge dabber and sponged the ink over the outside of the frame and covering the nicks. After letting it dry I sprayed the frame with some Silver Glitter Dust. If you don't have any of this product yet, get some, it is a must have for your holiday crafting, so easy to use and adds so much sparkle and shine.

The frame is 4" X 6". For my image I cut the Santa1 from the Quilted Christmas Cricut Cartridge using the Silhouette creative feature, at 3 1/2" out of red and white vinyl. I then cut the Believe banner at 1" from the Creative Memories Tis the Season cartridge. I used red, white and green vinyl for the banner. I cut two snowflakes from the same cartridge and used both the negative and the positives of the image on the back of my glass and sprayed it with Silver Glitter Dust  and Iridescent Glitter Dust. The glitter dust gives the glass a frosted sparkly look. Finally I used a Sizzix Snowflake die (Which Kim can likely order for you) and cut two snowflakes from the Tim Holtz Mirrored Paper and adhered them to opposite corners of my frame.

Wishing Well Home Decor Project

I have for you today a Home Decor or Gift Item. I saw this wishing well in one of the KaiserCraft Workshop magazines Kim sent me and I just had to have one. I thought this would make a cute table decoration for just about any event. You can use it as a bank if you wish. As you can see, I decided to decorate mine up for Christmas. First I painted all the areas I wasn't going to cover with paper with my Bottle Green Adirondack Paint Dabber. I then traced around my pieces onto my patterned paper and attached them to the wooden pieces with some Matte Glue N Seal. I really  like this adhesive and find it doesn't wrinkle my paper like some of the other products out there. Once I had all my pieces covered with paper I sprayed them all with some Gold and Silver Glitter Dust. WOW! Do they sparkle, love it.

I let everything dry overnight and then put my pieces all together adhering them with a little Beacon 3 in 1 Glue and the tabs to help secure the pieces together. I really like this glue thought it can be a bit stringy. It is my go to glue with nothing else will work, like when I am glue wood, or metal pieces. It is a thick clear glue and dries clear. I added some Cabbage  Glitter Tape (just ask and Kim and order this for you) along the edge of the roof peak and the top and bottom of each side. Finally I hot glued a few small roses to each side of the well.

It was a lot of fun to do and really quick and easy. I know Kim can special order one for you if you are interested.

Creature Feature Card

The new challenge over at Cricut Cardz Challenge is to make a Halloween card using the card feature on any cartridge and any colors you want. This is what I came up with.

I used the Mini Monsters Cricut Cartridge for my card and cut my ghost at 4 1/2". I then cut the main layers as well so could cover my card front. I stamped my sentiment in white and added some faux stitching with a white gel pen. Finally I sprayed the whole card front with some Glitter Dust spray to give it some glitz and glimmer. Altered Halloween Treat Box

Today I have for you a fun Halloween Treat Box. I picked up this wooden coffin at my local box store and spray painted the whole thing black. I cut some paper to fit the inside of the lid and bottom of the box and used some Glue and Seal to attach and seal the paper on the inside of the coffin . I cut the word Beware from the Happy Haunting cartridge at 1 1/2" and attached it to the inside lid. I  then painted it with some Rock Candy Crackle Paint which gave it an aged look inside.

On the outside I cut some images from the Happy Haunting Cricut Cartridge and glued them to the outside of my box. I then sprayed the entire outside of the box with the Iridescent Glitter Dust. I think  you can see the sparkle in the photo.

Snow Angel Card

It has been hot here for the last week so I decided it was time to make a cool weather card. I started with a 4 1/4" X 5 1/2" white card base. I added a mat cut at 4" X 5 1/4" and then snowflake paper cut at 3 3/4" X 2 1/2". I then used the D'Vine Swirls Cuttlebug embossing folder to emboss a piece of the Core'denations Whitewashed paper and sanded it. I then inked the raised swirls with my Versamark pad and sprinkled it with the Neutral Ultra Shimmer WOW! Embossing powder. Finally I added the strip with the little houses on it which is the back side of the first mat. My patterned paper is from My Minds Eye Winter Wonderland paper pack. I sprayed the snowflake paper with some iridescent Glitter Dust.

Not sure you can really see the sparkle and shine from the glitter spray in the photo. I cut my Snow Angel from the Winter Frolic cartridge at 3". I adhered her to the card front with an Action Wobble and stamped my sentiment.

Another Birthday Card

I have another birthday card for you today. This one was made using the card feature on the Birthday Bash Cricut Cartridge and was cut at 5 1/2". What I wanted to show you today on this quick video is an awesome new product I got from Cutter's Creek called Glitter Dust. It is in an aresole can and you spray it onto your image. I used the Iridescent on this card but it also comes in Pink, Gold and Silver. I should have my pink on Monday. I also used some stickles and some Opaque White WOW! Embossing powder on the inside of my card. The video is quick but it really shows of the Glitter Dust and the Embossing Powder.
