Happy Halloween

Hi everyone, Deanna here today back with a Halloween card for you today.  Now you may be wondering what would you do with a Halloween card if you don't normally send Halloween card..  These cards make great birthday cards for someone with a birthday near Halloween.  You can send it as a thank you card, or to a friend to let them know you are thinking of them and to cheer them up.

Here is what I came up with for you today.

I started my card by die cutting a tag from the Poppy Stamps Main Street Tags die set.  Next I grabbed a Tim Holtz stencil in the shape of a spider web and using Hickory Smoke distress ink and a round blending tool, stenciled my spiderweb onto the tag. I used my Crop-i-dile to punch a whole in the top of my tag and added some ribbon to the tag.

Once I had the tag done, I put together my card base.  I started with a dark gray card stock cut and folded to make a 4 1/4" X 5 1/2" card base. I added a light gray mat and then a patterned paper mat.

Next I die cut my Halloween wreath our of brown card stock and the Happy Halloween sentiment out of orange card stock using the Cheery Lynn Happy Halloween Twiggy Wreath die.

Friends are Special

Hi everyone, Deanna here with another project for the Dies R Us Inspirational Blog.  Here is what I have for you today.

For the card base I started with white card stock cut and folded to make a 4 1/4" X 5 1/2" base.  I added a blue mat cut at 4" X 5 1/4".  I then added a strip of green cut at 4" X 1 1/2" and added that to the bottom of the card.  Next I die cut the Summerville Landscape die from Memory Box out of white card stock.  I then colored the cut with some copic markers.

Next I cut the tree using Dee's Distinctively Dies and the Tree Base 1 die. Next I cut the tree greenery also from Dee's Distinctively Dies using the Tree Toppers Die. If you haven't checked out the Dee's Distinctively Dies yet, you should.  They offer a wide variety of dies.

Once I assembled my tree I added it to my card front along with the landscape die cut.  To some splashes of color to the card I used the Poppystamps die Butterfly Sprinkles to cut out several butterflies in different colors and added them randomly to the card front.

Finally, to finish the card, I added some Wink of Stella Clear pen to the flowers and the butterflies and my sentiment.

Hey everyone, Deanna here and I am excited to present to you my first Design Team post for Dies R Us.  Here is what I made for you today.

I started with a turquoise card stock cut and folded to make a 4 1/4" X 5 1/2" base. Next I added a black mat cut at 4" X 5 1/4".  I then took some watercolor paper and cut it to 3 3/4" X 5".  I inked the watercolor paper with Squeezed Lemonade, Abandoned Coral and Peacock Feathers distress ink.  Once I had all the colors on the paper the way I wanted them I lightly spritzed it with some water then dried the paper with my heat tool.

My flowers are from the Poppystamps Olivia Blossoms die.  I cut them out of yellow and used a yellow colored pencil to highlight the embossing in the middle of the flower. For the sentiment I used a die from Impression Obsession Thanks Word.
