BYSH Cardmakers May Sketch #69 Challenge

 

Today I'm sharing a project I created for the BYSH Cardmakers May Sketch #69 challenge. Here's a look at the sketch.

I followed the measurements from the sketch using some pattern papers from my stash. My ornament was diecut with some dies from Lawn Fawn. I used some white glitter cardstock for the decorative band on the ornament. I used some silver holigraphic cardstock for  the top hanger layer.  My sentiment is from Taylored Expressions and stamped in some dark green ink and diecut with the matching die.

BYSH Cardmakers Spring into the Holiday's Linky Party Day 5

 

I'm back with another card for the BYSH Cardmakers Spring into Christmas Linky Party. My project uses a pre cut and scored A2 heavyweight Toffee side fold card base from Taylored Expressions, one of our great sponsors. My pattern papers are from Echo Park. My red pattern paper is cut to 4" X 5 1/4".

I recently purchased the florals and flutters card kit from Taylored Expressions and included in the kit was the Happy Square sheets TE Map. It includes 5 laminated maps to create 19 unique card layout. To use these maps you start by cutting your cardstock to 5.75” square. These were designed to use with a 6” X 6” background stencil, but they work great with your 6” X 6” pattern paper. I used one of the maps to cut my pattern paper panels for my card. I used a dark green piece o pattern paper to cut a mat that was 1/4” larger than my the width and height of my pattern paper panels. In case you were wondering, the Happy Square Sheets maps are not currently available for individual purchase, they do currently offer 3 different volumes of their Happy Half Sheets TE Maps for individual purchase. I would suggest checking back at the TE Store if you are interested in the TE square maps, they may be offered for individual purchase at a future date.

I used two of the smaller square dies from the Taylored Expressions Square Stacklets Die set to make my Christmas gift for my card. I ended up using my Cricut Joy2 to cut my bow for the present top, I couldn't finf my TE Little Bits Mini Bows dies. I cut the tails off of my bow with some scissors as I decided I didn't want to use them. I ised my paper trimmer to cut a couple of thin green strips for the ribbon to wrap around my present.

I diecut my tag using a small tag die from the Newton's Nook Frames and Tags Die set. I white heat embossed my sentiment onto the tag. The sentiment is from the Taylored Expressions Itty Bitty Sentiments - Holiday. To finish my tag I tied a bow using some tan colored twine that I fed through the hole in the tag. I attached the tag to the top of my gift with a glue dot.

BYSH Cardmakers Spring into Christmas Linky Party Kickoff

Today is the kickoff of our BYSH Cardmakers Spring into Christmas April 2026 Linky Party. My project for the kickoff features pattern papers from the Doodlebug Designs Oh What Fun 6" X 8" paper pad. I used foam tape to adhere the two pattern papers together. I used some Gina K. Designs Connect glue to adhere the focal image to the middle of the aeched opening. BYSH Cardmakers Sketch #67 March Challenge

 

Hi everyone. I'm back with my first project for the BYSH Cardmakers March Sketch #67 challenge. Here is a look at the sketch.

I can't wait to show you my project. I think my little penguin is so cute.

I kept my card fairly simple while following the sketch. My pattern papers are from Doodlebug Designs Oh What Fun paper pad. My penguin image is from a Gina K. Designs stamp set, I colored him with some Ohuhu Markers after stamping him. I then die cut hin out using the matching dies. I added him to my square using a bit of foam tape.

My sentiment stamp is from a Waffle Flower stamp set. I used a sentiment die from my stash to cut it out. The sentiment Is adhered directly to the card front with liquid adhesive. I added some little clay white snowflake elements from an embellishment pack in my stash.

BYSH Cardmakers February Sketch Challenge #66 2nd Project

 

I'm back with my second project for the BYSH Cardmakers Sketch #66 Challenge using this month's sketch.

For my project today I started with some white dotted gold pattern paper cut tu 4" X 5 1/4".  For my focal image, I used a stamp from a Simon Says Stamp card kit that was released just a few month's ago. I stamped the image twice on white cardstock using some Simon Says Stamp soft navy ink.  I used the coordinating die to cut out the village portion pf the image and adhered it directly over the one stamped on the first panel with some 1mm foam tape.

Before adhering the diecut village to the main image, I used the coordinating stencil yo add a light coating of some Tim Holtz sparkling grit paste that I lightly sprinkled with some Rock Candy glitter. Once dried I then adhered it to the main panel.

I then adhered my stamped panel to my cardbase. I stamped my sentiment with that same soft navy ink onto a scrap of the gold pattern paper. I used the ink pad to lightly ink the edges of my sentiment to help it stand out from the background. I popped the sentiment up with a foam strip. To finish the card I added some navy blue sparkles in the upper right hand corner.

BYSH Cardmakers February Sketch #66 Challenge

 

Another month, another new sketch challenge has started over at BYSH Cardmakers. Here's a peek at the sketch so you can play along with us.

I followed the sketch closely for my card. I used pattern paper from an older paper pad from my stash. I used some wavy circle dies from Scrapbook.com to cut my circles out of some rustic red and white cardstock for my image. My cute little hedgehog is from a rubon set also from Scrapbook.com. I just thought he was so cute. My sentiment is from a Waffle Flower sentiment stamp set. I stamped it in Versamark ink on a scrap of the rustic red cardstock and heat embossed it with some white detail embossing powder.

BYSH Cardmakers January Sketch #65 Challenge Project 2

I'm back today with my second project for this month's BYSH Cardmakers January Sketch Challenge. Here is a look at the sketch.

My project today features pattern paper from the 6" X 6" Poinsettia Garden paper pad from  Paper Rose. I used the sketch for the measurements for the pattern paper. I had my Cricut Maker 4 cut my pattern paper strips to ensure accuracy and a straight cut. I am a bit challenged in that area. 😊

My poinsettia is cut from white glitter cardstock using the two smallest dies from the Taylored Expressions Garden Variety Poinsettia dies. I used some amber colored rhinestones for my flower center.

My sentiment is from the Taylored Expressions Mini Strip Stamps - Holiday 2 red rubber stamp and die cut using the matching Mini Strips Cutting Die.

BYSH Cardmakers January Sketch #65 Challenge

 

Wow another year has flowen by. Welcome 2026. With the new year and new month comes a new challenge over at BYSH Cardmakers. Here is a look at this month's fun sketch.

My first project using the sketch incorporates pattern papers from the Doodlebug Oh What Fun 6" X 8" paper pad.

The green strips on the card are from a Scrapbook.com 4 1/4" X 5 1/2" paper pad. My sentiment is from a Simon Says Stamp Christmas sentiment set tht I stamped on a scrap of the green cardstock with some Versafine Clair Nocturne ink and die cut with the matching die. I popped my sentiment up with some foam squares and finished my card with some peppermint embellishments from Kat Scrappiness.

BYSH Cardmakers Sketch #64 Challenge Project 2

 Happy Holidays! Ihope everyone that celebrated had a wonderful Christmas yesterday. This year has just zoomed by.  As we near the end of 2025, I have one last project to share with you for the Sketch #64 challenge,over at BYSH Cardmakers.

For my card, I followed the measurements on the sketch and used some pattern paper from a wellloved Doodlebug Designs 6" X 6" paperpad.My focal image is a Doodlepop Sticker that I had in my stash. It was perfect for my card. I added some silver foil sparkles to 3 of the boxes to finish my card.

BYSH Cardmakers December Sketch Challenge #64

 

It's hard to believe we've made it through another year and we are back in December again. That was fast. It also means there is a new challenge over at the BYSH Cardmakers blog. Sketch #64, the last Sketch Challenge for 2025. Let's take a look at the Sketch.

Here is my first project utilizing the sketch.

My cardbase is a standard 4 1/4" X 5 1/2" A2 heavy duty white cardstock.  My pattern papers are from my scrap bin. The chipboard stickers are from my stash. I attached everything to the front of my card with liquid adhesive. I used my Cricut to cut out my pattern papers to match the sizes on the sketch. This one was a lot of fun to play with.

BYSH Cardmakers November Sketch #63 Challenge Project 2

 I'm back today with my second project for the BYSH Cardmakers November Sketch #63.  Here is a look at the sketch.

Pattern papers for my card were from an older 6" X 8.5" holiday themed paper pad from Honey Bee Stamps. I cut all my pattern papers according to the sketch. I heat embossed my sentiment with some red embossing powder onto white cardstock.  I die cut my sentiment out using the matching die. I added my sentiment to my card using some foam tape. To finish the card, I added three red gems to the upper thin strip in the lower right-hand corner.

BYSH Cardmakers Sketch #63 Challenge

For my card I used pattern papers from Doodlebug Designs. I cut my Christmas pudding using my Cricut JoyXtra.  I added some red rhinestones to the holly on my pudding.  I stamped my sentiment with some Versafine Clair Nocturn Ink onto white cardstock and cut it out with the matching die. I popped up my sentiment with some thin foam strips. Finally to finish my card, I added some clear sequins around the sentiment.

BYSH Cardmakers Falling for the Holidays Linky Party

 

Today is the kickoff of the BYSH Cardmakers Falling for the Holidays Linky Party. Here is the card I made for the kickoff.

My card is a standard A2 card. My card base is heavy duty white cardstock. My pattern paper is from an older 6" X 6" paper pad from our sponsor Pink and Main. I die cut the paper using a rectangle die from another sponsor Kat Scrappiness. I used glimmer plates and a die from Newtons Nook also a Linky Party sponsor and pastel foil from Spellbinders. I stamped my sentiment with black ink on white cardstock and cut it using my paper trimmer. My sentiment is from a Taylored Expressions sentiment stamp set. Taylored Expressions is also a Linky Party sponsor.

I popped my trees up with some foam tape and finished my card with some glass AB embellishments also from Kat Scrappiness.

BYSH Cardmakers October Sketch #62 Challenge

 

A new challenge has started for the month of October over at BYSH Cardmakers using Sketch #62. Here is a look at the sketch. 

I used some pattern papers as well as some matching-colored card stock from a couple of Moda Scrap 6" X 12" paper pads. I cut some holiday foliage from more of the colored cardstock and arranged it near the center of my card.  I added some "snow" to my greenery with some Ranger opaque white texter paste that I applied with a small pallet knife.

My sentiment was stamped with some sage pawsitively saturated ink from Simon Says Stamp and is from a holiday sentiment stamp set from Birch Press Designs. I popped it up using some foam tape and added it to the right side of the center of my greenery bouquet. I added some "snow" to the sentiment strip as well.

My card uses paper from the Carta Bella 6" X 6" A Vintage Christmas paper pad. I chose to interpret this sketch so that the only pattern paper was in the middle section of the card. I chose to white heat emboss my sentiment on the dark green flag pattern paper. The sentiment was from a Simon Says Stamp sentiment stamp.

BYSH Cardmakers Challenge #54 Second Project

 

I'm back with my second inspiration project for the BYSH Cardmakers Sketch #54 challenge. I used some Doodlebug pattern paper from the Doodlebug Designs Tinsel Town paper. I used a Doodle Pop to add my house.

I added some blue hearts as the smoke from the smoke for the ship. I also added some Doodle Pop snowflake stickers around the sky of my house. I then white heat embossed my sentiments on some red cardstock. Well today is the last of Challenge #54. So, you have limited time to get what you need. BYSH Cardmakers Sketch #54 Challenge

 

Hey everyone. There is a new challenge over at BYSH Cardmakers using Sketch 54. This is my first inspiration project with this sketch.

I used pattern papers from Honeybee Stamps for my card and matted everything with some gold matte cardstock.

I die cut a 2 1/4" circle out of some white cardstock and embossed it with a 3D embossing folder from Simon Says Stamp. I then spritzed it with some sheer sparkle spray.  Next, I white heat embossed my sentiment on some black cardstock. The sentiment is from the Simon Says Stamp Graceful Holiday Greetings and die cut with the matching dies.

Once the white circle was dry, I adhered it to my card using some liquid adhesive. I added my sentiment to the white circle with some narrow foam strips. To finish the card, I added some gold pearls.
