Be True to You

 Welcome. I have a new card for you today. This is the May Altenew Craft A Flower die set called Buttercup.

The Buttercup has 4 layers. I started with a light tan colored cardstock. Cut the second layer out of a light yellow card stock. The third layer was cut from a pearlized cream card stock. The final layer is the flower center cut from some green card stock. The leaves are just one layer and were cut from a green textured card stock.

For my card base I started with some white heavy weight card stock cut, scored and folded to make a 4 1/4" X 5 1/2" card base.  I used some older Memory Box Stitched Rectangle dies to cut my mats. My pattern paper is from the Memory Box Springtime 6" X 6" paper pad.  I used a MFT Scalloped Stitched Circle die to cut the purple pattern paper. I also used the circle die to cut a piece of white cardstock to attach to the back of the purple pattern paper to add some stability.

I adhered the green card stock mat and the green pattern paper mat to my card base with liquid adhesive. I adhered my buttercup to my purple scalloped circle with foam tape. the purple circle was adhered to the green mats with liquid adhesive.

My sentiment is from the Reverse Confetti So Many Sentiments Clear Stamp Set. I used some Hero Arts Moss ink to stamp my sentiment.

Antique Rose Birthday Card

 

Today I have a birthday card for you. I started with heavy weight white card stock that I cut, scored and folded to make a 4 1/4" X 5 1/2" card base. I used some Honey Bee Stamps Deckle Edge dies to cut my mats. The patterned paper is also from the Honey Bee Stamps Playful Pastels 6" X 6" paper pad.

My rose is from the Altenew Craft a Flower Antique Rose die set. I started with black card stock for the base layer and then used 3 different shades of pink card stock for the remaining layers. I attached the rose to the light green mat with liquid adhesive, then popped up that layer with foam tape before attaching it to the darker green mat.

I embossed my sentiment on to black card stock using some cream embossing powder by Simon Says Stamp.

To finish my card I added some crystal gemstones by Nuvo.

Just a Note

 Today I have a new spring card for you. I started with some heavy weight card stock that was cut, scored and folded to make a 4 1/4" X 5 1/2" card base.  I added a black mat that was cut at 4 1/8" X 5 3/8".  My patterned paper is from the Memory Box Springtime Bouquet 6" X 6" paper pad. It was cut to 4" X 5 1/4".

My flowers are from the Altenew Craft a Flower Cosmos die set. This is a layering die set and was easy to use. The lighter flower was adhered flat to the card using liquid adhesive. The darker flower was adhered using some foam tape for some added dimension to my card.

The sentiment was cut using a die in my stash. I cut the just a note four times out of black card stock and stacked them together using liquid adhesive. I wanted the sentiment to have some dimension but didn't want to cut a bunch of tiny pieces of foam tape.

To finish off my card I added some light lavender bling from the Buttons Galore and More Doodads Princess Sparkle set. I also added some Nuvo Crystal Glaze to my sentiment and some Wink of Stella to my flowers.
