BYSH Cardmakers May Sketch #69 Challenge

 

Today I'm sharing a project I created for the BYSH Cardmakers May Sketch #69 challenge. Here's a look at the sketch.

I followed the measurements from the sketch using some pattern papers from my stash. My ornament was diecut with some dies from Lawn Fawn. I used some white glitter cardstock for the decorative band on the ornament. I used some silver holigraphic cardstock for  the top hanger layer.  My sentiment is from Taylored Expressions and stamped in some dark green ink and diecut with the matching die.

BYSH Cardmakers Falling into the Holidays Day 3

I’m back with my BYSH Cardmakers day 3 Falling for the Holidays Linky Party inspiration project. My. Project today features pattern paper and images from Lawn Fawn.

My card is a standard A2 size made from heavyweight white card stock. My images are from the Lawn Fawn Frosty Family and Frosty Family add-on. My. Images were colored with the matching dies and colored with the matching coloring stencils. I adhered the images to my card front with liquid adhesive. My sentiment is from the Merry Messages stamp set.

BYSH Cardmakers Sketch #49 Challenge

 

I'm here today sharing my final inspiration project for the BYSH Cardmakers Sketch #49 Challenge. My card today features a multi-layered print then cut snowflake from the Disney Frozen. My pattern paper is from Waffle Flower. I used some dark navy and white cardstock to cut a border using a Lawn Fawn border die to cover my seam.

My sentiment is stamped with some dark navy ink directly onto my card panel. The sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp.

BYSH Cardmakers Sketch #46 Challenge

My card is a standard A2 card base. I white heat embossed my sentiment on green cardstock. To finish my card, I added some green confetti.

BYSH Cardmakers Sketch #46 Challenge

 

A new challenge has started over at BYSH Cardmakers. We are using Sketch #46. Here's a peek at the sketch.

Our challenge sponsor this month is Lawn Fawn. 

For my project I used some pattern paper scraps from a Lawn Fawn paper pad. I used the XXX stamp set to stamp my image which I colored with some Zig Watercolor markers on some Bristol Smooth Cardstock.  I then stamped my speech bubbles and stamped my sentiments in green and red ink. I cut the image panel into a rectangle to adhere it to my card. I added some white gel pen highlights.

Let's Craft and Create Challenge #208 Anything Goes Option Add a Ribbon

 

It's time for a new challenge over at Let's Craft and Create. The challenge this month is Anything Goes with the option to Add Ribbon.

For my card I started with a heavy weight white cardstock that was cut, scored and folded to make a standard A2 card. My pattern paper is from Lawn Fawn. It's cut to 4" X 5 1/4". The top piece is the reverse side of the bottom piece and is cut at 1 1/2". I used some green polka dotted white ribbon to cover the seam.

My flower was cut using a die from Scrapbook.com from more of the Lawn Fawn pattern paper. The leaves were cut using a die from Simon Says Stamp.

I white heat embossed my sentiment on some black cardstock and was die cut with the matching die. The sentiment and die set are from Kat Scrappiness.

BYSH Cardmakers Spring into Christmas Linky Party Day 5

 

Today's card for Day 5 of the BYSH Cardmakers Spring into Christmas Linky Party features products from two of our sponsors, Lawn Fawn and cardstock from Gina K Designs.

My cardbase is a heavyweight blue cardstock from Gina K Designs. I scored and folded it to make an A2 cardbase. I used the Winter Wonderland Window dies and die cut them out with some white glitter cardstock. I then used just the arch die in the set to cut a piece of the English Breakfast pattern paper from the Favorite Flannel 6" X 6" paper pad to behind my window.

Next, I stamped my images from the Winter Birds stamp set with some Versafine Clair Nocturne ink and heat embossed them with clear embossing powder onto some Bristol Smooth cardstock. I colored my images with my Zig Real Brush Markers. Once my images were dry, I cut them out with the matching dies. For the snow on the tree branch I used some Shimmering Ice Acrylic Structure Gel from Kat Scrappiness. It gave it a nice shimmery look. 

To put my scene together, I added some liquid adhesive to the back of the pattern paper I adhered it to my card base. I then added some thin foam strips to the back of my window. Before adhering down my window, I glued my tree branch down because I knew I wanted it tucked behind the window. I then added my window. I then adhered my bird to the nest and added him to the end of the branch with some thin foam squares and liquid adhesive. Next, I added the snow to the branch, also with liquid adhesive, then added the bird with a thin foam square. My mama bird is adhered to the card with some liquid adhesive.

BYSH Cardmakers Falling for the Holidays Linky Party Day 2

 

So happy to have you stop by for some Day 2 inspiration for the BYSH Cardmakers Falling for the Holidays Linky Party.

For day two I'm featuring some products from Lawn Fawn, one of our great sponsors. My card today is a 4 1/4" X 5 1/2" A2 card. I used a die from the Lawn Fawn Stackable Scalloped Rectangle Die set to cut my pattern paper which is from the Lawn Fawn Favorite Flannel 6" X 6" paper pad.

I used the dies from the Lawn Fawn Winter Wonderland Window die set to cut my snowflake edge frame out of some white glitter cardstock. I used just the arch die to cut my window background out of some light gray pattern paper from the Let it Shine Snowflakes 6" X 6" paper pad.

I then stamped my images from the Lawn Fawn Winter Birds Add-on stamp set onto some Xpress-it white cardstock. I colored my images with my Spectrum Noir Tri-Blend brush markers. Once my images were colored I cut them out with the coordinating dies. I assembled my images and adhered them to my window. I added some Stardust Stickles to the snow on the roof, just above the bottom of the bird house and a little over the door. I then stamped my sentiment which is from the same stamp set as my images, and adhered everything to my card base with my Bearly Arts glue. Bearly Arts is a new sponsor for our Linky Party.

BYSH Cardmakers Fall into the Holidays Linky Party

 

I have another inspiration project for you today. 

Today I have a card using non-traditional colors. I used inks from Gina K Designs to stamp my trees. Gina K Designs is a returning sponsor for our linky party.

My card base is heavyweight weight cardstock cut, scored and folded to make a 4 1/4" X 5 1/2" card base. My pattern paper is from the Lawn Fawn Let it Shine 6" X 6" paper pad cut to 4" X 5 1/4". I matted it with some gray cardstock cut at 4 1/8" X 5 3/8". I adhered it all together with liquid adhesive.  I white heat embossed my sentiment directly on my pattern paper. I used foam tape to adhere my trees to my card. I added some silver sequins to embellish my card.

Falling for the Holidays BYSH Cardmakers Linky Party

 

It's here! As hard as it is to believe, October is almost over. That means it is time for our Fall Linky Party over at BYHS Cardmakers.

My first inspiration project was made using one of the stamps I won.

I stamped my image onto some Distress Watercolor cardstock with Versafine Clair Nocturn ink and heat embossed it with some clear embossing powder. I colored my image using my Zig Real Brush markers and a water brush.  I used a scalloped mini slimline die from Kat Scrappiness to cut down my image panel. I just ran my panel through twice as the die was too long. Kat Scrappiness is a new sponsor for our linky party. I mounted my image panel on some blue cardstock.

For my card base I started with some heavyweight white cardstock that I cut, scored and folded to make a 4 1/4" X 5 1/2" card base. I cut a blue mat at 4 1/8" X 5 3/8". My pattern paper is from Lawn Fawn Really Rainbow Christmas 6" X 6" paper pad that is cut down to 4" X 5 1/4".  I adhered the pattern paper to the blue mat with liquid adhesive. I adhered those to my card base also with liquid adhesive. I added my matted image panel to my card base using some foam tape. Lawn Fawn is also back as a sponsor for our linky party. To finish the card, I added some tiny snowflake sprinkles also from Kat Scrappiness.

Here s my first inspiration project for you using some Stitched Ornament dies from Lawn Fawn, one of our new sponsors for this Linky Party.

My card base is heavyweight white cardstock cut, scored and folded to make a 4 1/4" X 5 1/2" card. My green pattern paper is cut to 3 3/4" X 5". The pattern paper is from an older Lawn Fawn 6" X 6" Christmas paper pad but I don't have the cover with the name.

I cut my ornaments from red, green, and a silver shimmer cardstock. I added details to my ornaments using the decorative dies from the set. For the sliver ornament I cut a star using a die included in the die set, from some gold mirror cardstock and added a red gem to the center. I cut the ornament tops out of some silver mirror cardstock. I adhered the ornaments with some foam tape so I could tuck the strings under the ornaments. I stamped my sentiment with some black ink and that finished my card.

Let's Craft and Create Challenge #184 AG Option Penny for Your Thoughts

 

Unbelievable, but it's June already and there is a new challenge up at Let's Craft and Create. Challenge #184 is as always AG with the option Penny for Your Thoughts, use a sentiment. This is my design team project for the challenge.

For my card I started with some heavyweight white cardstock cut, scored and folded to make a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" card base. I then cut the Lawn Fawn Spring Flowers backdrop die from some green cardstock.

I then cut the flower layers from pink, light yellow, turquoise blue, and purple cardstock. I cut the flower centers out of a darker golden yellow. I assembled the layers on the frame with liquid adhesive.

My hello sentiment is from a Kat Scrappiness mini slimline scalloped die set. The stamped sentiment is from a Sizzix sentiment set. To finish my card, I added some yellow sequins from Honeybee Stamps.

Give Thanks Quokka Style

 

Today I have for you a card I made using products from Kat Scrappiness. I used the adorable Dress Up Quokkas stamp set and the Thanksgiving Costume Add On stamp set. I thought these little pilgrim costumes were so cute.  

For my card I started with some heavyweight white cardstock cut, scored and folded to make a 4 1/4" X 5 1/2" card base. I cut a dark brown mat at 4" X 5 1/4".  I  cut the orange gingham paper at 3 3/4" X 2 3/4". The blue pattern paper was cut at 3 3/4" X  3 1/4". I adhered the orange paper down to my brown mat with some liquid adhesive. I then adhered the blue pattern paper to the brown mat also with liquid adhesive overlapping the orange paper just a little. The white with the brown polka dotted paper was just a scrap I had sitting on my table.  I cut it to 3 3/4" and adhered it over the seam with liquid adhesive.

Next I stamped my images onto some alcohol friendly white cardstock using some alcohol safe black ink. I colored my images using my Arteza Everblend Markers. Once I had my images colored I used the coordinating dies for the Quokkas and the Thanksgiving Costumes to cut out all my images.

Now the fun part, adhering everything to the card front. Once I had my images adhered it was time for a sentiment and embellishments. I stamped my sentiment in some gingerbread ink die cut the word thanks with its matching die. To die cut the word give I used the smallest rectangle from the Mini Slimline Never Ending Dies. I just ran it through my die cutting machine twice so I could cut it to the size I wanted.  (These dies are on sale today you can save 25% off).  To embellish my card I used two gorgeous embellishment sets from Kat Scrappiness, the Shimmering Fallen Leaves Sequin Mix and the Shimmering Autumn Sequin Mix. (Both of these are also currently on sale). I wanted my little Quokkas to have a shiny nose so I added some Nuvo Crystal Glaze to them. Finally I added a little bit of Stardust Stickles to my leaves and acorns.

Hello Sweet Friend

 

Today I have another card for you. My card uses the Altenew Build a Flower Bearded Iris stamp and die set. This is the first time I've used one of their Build A Flower stamp and die sets. It is not perfect as you can tell by the cut off stem but I think it turned out good.

For my card I started with the stamping. When I bought this set I bought the Altenew recommended mini ink pads so that is what I used to stamp my image.  I started with some Versafine Clare  Nocturine Ink to stamp the outline of my iris. I then used the layering stamp set to stamp my image. Lining it up was a bit of a challenge because some of the highlighted for the layering was small and clear on the stamp set. Once I had my image stamped I used the coordinating die set to cut my Iris out.

Next I decided to mount my Iris onto some yellow Lawn Fawn Watercolor Wishes paper. I cut the pattern paper with a Spellbinder Oval dies. I then decided I wanted to mat that layer with some black cardstock. The next bigger size in the Spellbinders Oval die set wast bigger than I wanted. I then went searching through my stash to find something that would work. I found an oval die in a Memory Box Stitched Oval die that would work and cut that from the black cardstock and cut that out.

I then decided to run the yellow pattern paper with my die cutting machine with the Memory Box pinpoint leaf plate metal die. I love the look it gives to the pattern paper.

Now to assemble the card. I started with some heavy weight cardstock cut scored and folded to make a 4 1/4" X 5 1/2" card base. I adhered the yellow patterned paper to the black oval layer with some liquid adhesive. Next I adhered the Iris to the yellow pattern paper with liquid adhesive. I then adhered the  oval layers to my card base with some foam tape.

I then decided to white heat emboss my sentiment on some black cardstock. The sentiment is from the same stamp set as the Bearded Iris. I used a small oval die from the Hero Arts Infinity Oval Dies to cut my sentiment. It was adhered to the oval layer with some liquid adhesive. I added some Honeybee Stamps little purple hearts from the Ultra Violet Sequins Mix under the sentiment.

I love how this card turned out. My mom and I both love iris so I'm glad to have this stamp set. But I do have some practicing to do.

You Are Simply Splended

 

I have a new card for you today. My card is a 4 1/4" X 5 1/2". I used some pattern paper from a really old 6" X 6" paper pad. 

I stamped my image on some Canson Watercolor paper. I used some Tomboy Markers to color on the stamp then spritzed water then stamped the image. I haven't done that much and it has been a really long time since I've done this. I then die cut my image out.

The image and matching dies are from a Fun Stampers Journey set called All Year Long.

For my layers I used some Lawn Fawn Stitched Rectangle dies. I used the largest die in the set to cut my yellow gingham paper which fit my card base completely. I used two smaller dies to cut more of the watercolor paper and the brown patterned paper. I used the watercolor paper because I wanted it to match the white border around my die cut image.

I stamped my sentiment using some Rich Cocoa Memento ink. The sentiment is from the Reverse Confetti So Many Sentiments stamp set. I then added the watercolor paper to my card with foam tape. I adhered the brown pattern paper with liquid adhesive. Mt image is also added with liquid adhesive. To finish the card I added some copper colored sequins.

Let's Say it With Gift Tags

Hello everyone, Deanna here with another inspirational post for Dies R Us.  Today I have for you some quick and easy gift tags.

To make the tags I started with the Lawn Fawn Tiny Tags Dies and die cut one of each of the 4 different tags.  Next I stamped the tags with greetings from the Lawn Fawn Tiny Tags Sayings Stamp set.  Next I took the Poppy Stamps Pinpoint Main Street Tags and die cut 2 of them using the 3rd from the smallest tag.  Again I stamped them with the Lawn Fawn Tiny Tags Sayings Stamp.  I then used my Crop-a-dile and punched a small hole in the top of each tag.  To finish the tags off I added some twine from Doodle-Bug.

Making tags is a great way to use up scraps of paper.  Tags can be as simple or complex as you like to make them and look great on your packages.

We Flamin-go Together

Hey everyone, Deanna here with a fun project using the recently released dies from Lawn Fawn.  I used the new Flamingo Together Dies and stamps.  Here is what I have for you.

I started by stamping out the flamingos on watercolor paper.  I colored the flamingos with my Zig Clean Color Clear Brush Markers..  Next I stamped the palm trees and the trunks of the trees using Rich Cocoa and Cottage Ivy Memento ink.

Now it was time to bring out the dies..  Using the dies from the Flamingo Together die set, I cut out the trees, trunks and the Flamingos.

My sun rays are from a piece of patterned paper by Bo Bunny.  I cut my waves from an older die I had on hand. However, Impression Obsession has a great wave die you can use.  I used the Lawn Fawn Simple Stitched Hillside border dies to create my sand. I inked the edges of my "sand" using some Old Paper distress Ink.

After adhering all of my pieces together I attached it to a 4 1/4" X 5 1/2" white card stock card base.  I then stamped my sentiment from the stamp set with some Memento Rich Cocoa ink.

2 Creative Chicks Challenge Showcase #10

It is time once again for a new challenge over at 2 Creative Chicks.  This is what I came up with.

My card base is white card stock cut and folded to make a 4 1/4" X 5 1/2" card base. Next I added a black mat, then my patterned paper mat each cut 1/8" small than the previous layer.

Using some watercolor paper  and some water colors I created the ocean and sand for my little scallop to sit on.  I also used some pan water colors to paint the scallop.  The stamps for this image are from Lawn Fawn and so is the die for the shell fish.  I just thought this was such a cute card.

The Sky's the Limit

Hey everyone, it is Deanna here again back with another  Die R Us post.  Here is what I have for you today.

For this card I started with white card stock that I cut and scored to make a 4 1/4" X 5 1/2" card base.  Next I cut a piece of watercolor paper at 4 1/4" X 5 1/2".  Using some light blue watercolor paint, I painted the entire piece of paper so it looked like the sky.

Next using Lawn Fawn stamps and matching dies I stamped my balloons and clouds onto watercolor paper.  I colored the images with some watercolor pencils.  Once I finished coloring the images I die cut them out.

Once I had the images cut out I stamped my sentiment with some dark blue ink onto the sky blue watercolor paper.  I then arranged the clouds and my balloons onto the paper and adhered them down.  Finally I adhered the sky watercolor paper to the entire front of my card.

2 Creative Chicks Showcase #8

It is time for another Showcase over at 2 Creative Chicks, Showcase #8.  Here is what I put together for the challenge.

 

 I created this card using some Lawn Fawn dies, the Chirpy Chirp Chirp stamps and die sets.  I also used a stitched hillside Lawn Fawn die to create the grassy hill.  I used watercolor paint to create the green grassy area and also stamped the grass border which is from the Chirpy Chirp Chirp stamp set.  The bunnies are from an Impression Obsession die.  Finally I added some small enamel dots to represent Easter eggs.
