BYSH Cardmakers Spring into the Holiday's Linky Party Day 5

 

I'm back with another card for the BYSH Cardmakers Spring into Christmas Linky Party. My project uses a pre cut and scored A2 heavyweight Toffee side fold card base from Taylored Expressions, one of our great sponsors. My pattern papers are from Echo Park. My red pattern paper is cut to 4" X 5 1/4".

I recently purchased the florals and flutters card kit from Taylored Expressions and included in the kit was the Happy Square sheets TE Map. It includes 5 laminated maps to create 19 unique card layout. To use these maps you start by cutting your cardstock to 5.75” square. These were designed to use with a 6” X 6” background stencil, but they work great with your 6” X 6” pattern paper. I used one of the maps to cut my pattern paper panels for my card. I used a dark green piece o pattern paper to cut a mat that was 1/4” larger than my the width and height of my pattern paper panels. In case you were wondering, the Happy Square Sheets maps are not currently available for individual purchase, they do currently offer 3 different volumes of their Happy Half Sheets TE Maps for individual purchase. I would suggest checking back at the TE Store if you are interested in the TE square maps, they may be offered for individual purchase at a future date.

I used two of the smaller square dies from the Taylored Expressions Square Stacklets Die set to make my Christmas gift for my card. I ended up using my Cricut Joy2 to cut my bow for the present top, I couldn't finf my TE Little Bits Mini Bows dies. I cut the tails off of my bow with some scissors as I decided I didn't want to use them. I ised my paper trimmer to cut a couple of thin green strips for the ribbon to wrap around my present.

I diecut my tag using a small tag die from the Newton's Nook Frames and Tags Die set. I white heat embossed my sentiment onto the tag. The sentiment is from the Taylored Expressions Itty Bitty Sentiments - Holiday. To finish my tag I tied a bow using some tan colored twine that I fed through the hole in the tag. I attached the tag to the top of my gift with a glue dot.
