Cricut Cardz Challenge #110

There is a new challenge over at Cardz TV , I am so glad your my dad. The challenge is to make a Father's Day card using any colors and cartridges you like. This is what I came up with.

My card base is Kraft card stock cut and folded to make a 4" X 9" Tall Card. I was able to get the Cricut Craft Room to work which allowed me to create two rectangles, one 3 3/4" X 8 3/4" which I flooded with a dark olive green color from the Heirloom Imagine cartridge. The other rectangle was 3 1/2" X 8 1/2" which I flooded with the green striped pattern also from the Heirloom cartridge. For my man image, I used the Art Deco cartridge. This image is called Sugar Daddy on the cartridge. Again I used colors from the Heirloom color palette for the mans coat, slacks, vest and hat. I used an RGB code for the skin tone. I cut the man at 6". I inked all my papers with some Tim Holtz Tea Dye distress ink. I added my man to the card with some foam tape. I used some tiny copper colored pearls for the buttons on his vest. I cut a label from the Lacey Labels cartridge for my sentiment using the colors from the Heirloom cartridge and stamped my sentiment with some Memento Tuxedo Black ink. My twine is actually a light natural colored hemp cord that I colored with a copic marker to give me that dark green color. I attached my sentiment mat with some foam tape and added a larger copper pearl button to each side.
