It is heard to imagine that December is already upon us. Seems it was just yesterday we were submitting our first Fall designs. ANY WAY it is time for a new challenge over at Let's Craft and Create. This month challenge is Anything Goes with the option to use it a Vintage Feel. This is what I came up with.
To make my card I started with some heavyweight white cardstock, cut, scored, and folded to make a standard 4 1/4" X 5 1/2" card base. I added a deep red card base cut at 4" X 5 1/4". Next I cut the postcard pattern paper to 3 3/4" X 5". To add to the vintage feel I inked lightly around the edges with some Vintage Photo distress ink. The Postcard pattern paper I believe is from an older Teresa Collins Christmas 6" X 6" paper pad that I have had for several years.
Next came me Santa image that I found in Cricut Design Space. I found the Vintage Santa and new he would be perfect for this challenge. The image was set to Print then Cut so I just brought him in and printed him out. I then edged him with some vintage photo distress ink, I used my scissors to distress the edges before applying the Vintage photo distress ink. I again matted the image on some dark red cardstock from my stash. After I finished added the Vintage Photo I then Sprayed it lightly with water. this can reactivated I decided to leave it it was and ink it as it was.
The spray on the Antique Santa Santa really looks great together. It activated the ink as well as the Ink used to print him out. I then added him to my card front with some foam tape and placed him at an angel.
To finish the card I added some white sequin from my stash. Now it is your turn. Hope on over to Let's Craft and Create and join the fun!!!
Thanks Hope to see you soon.
