Valentine's Day Card

Today I have a quick Valentine's Day card for you. To make my card I started with some heavyweight white cardstock that I cut, scored and folded to make a A2 4 1/4" X 5 1/2" card base.

I then took some red True Brushed paper from Cricut and ran it through my die cutting machine with the Stitched Hearts Coverplate Die from Kat Scrappiness. I love this die. As you can see in the picture it cuts a full A2 size so it covers your entire front of the card base.  After running it through once I set my die cutting machine for embossing and ran it through again just to intensify the stitching detail.

Once I saw it, I thought it was so shiny and pretty and I didn't want to cover it up. So I found some small sentiments in my stash that fit inside the bigger hearts. I prepped my surface with my anti-static powder tool. I recommend you check out the Kat Scrappiness Telescopic Embossing Powder Tool. You will need to really apply the powder well. I only applied it to the hearts I was embossing and had quite a bit of excess powder stuck to my surface. I stamped my sentiments with Versamark Watermark ink and coated them with some white embossing powder and melted it with my heat gun.

To finish my card, I adhered the card front to my card base. I think I am going to give this one to my husband for Valentine's Day.

This card is so shiny in person. It was really difficult to photograph as I kept getting lots of reflection.

I appreciate you stopping by today. I hope you will head over to Kat Scrappiness and check them out.  They have lots of great products and embellishments. See you next time.
