Birthday Kisses Shaker Card

I have a fun new card for you today using new products from the Kat Scrappiness Birthday Essentials release. I made this card for my granddaughter who is turning 3 on February 13th.

For my card I started with a heavyweight white cardstock cut, scored and folded to make an A2
cardbase. I then ran the Layered Balloon Coverplate die through my die cutting machine and cut it out of white cardstock.  Using the three separate balloon dies included with the  Layered Balloon Coverplate and paper from the Birthday Essentials 6" X 8" paper pad I cut layers for my balloons. This pattern paper is 80 lb. cardstock and double sided. It is a wonderful paper. I adhered the layers to my white balloons with some liquid adhesive.

Next, I cut a piece of acetate to fit behind the coverplate piece and adhered it with some ATG adhesive.  I then added my sequin to the acetate piece. I used some narrow strips of foam tape behind my coverplate. I did double up the foam tape to allow the sequin more room to shake.  I removed the backing from the foam tape and adhered my card base to the coverplate with more ATG adhesive.

For my sentiment I used the Birthday Kisses Die and Shadow die. I cut the shadow from white cardstock and the top layer using some of the blue cardstock from the Birthday Essentials 6" X 8" paper pad. I adhered them together with liquid adhesive and attached it to my card front using more adhesive from my ATG tape gun.

To finish my card I die cut the number 3 from some scraps of the pattern paper and added them to the solid-colored balloons.

I encourage you to go check out the Birthday Essentials release at Kat Scrappiness.
