Welcome back everyone. Kat Scrappiness recently had a mini-Wedding release. This Build a Cake die set is from that release. There is also a Bride and Groom die set as well.
I really wanted to use this die set. For my card I started with some heavyweight white cardstock that was cut, scored and folded to make a 4 1/4" X 5 1/2" card base. I then used a Spellbinders 3D embossing folder to emboss some pearlized cream cardstock. I then cut the cream card stock down to 4" X 5 1/4".
I die cut the cake plate out of some silver metallic cardstock. I cut my cake layers from some white glitter cardstock and the ribbons out of some foiled poster board. Kat Scrappiness has a great video on YouTube showing how to put this cake together.
Once I had the cake assembled and adhered to my card front panel I just felt like I wanted to add a Bride and Groom silhouette to the top of the cake. I found this image in Cricut Access and cut it out at 1 1/2" using some black cardstock. I wanted my cake to be the star of the show for my card. I adhered them to the top of my card with some foam tape and liquid adhesive. I used my shimmer pen to add some sparkle and shine to the bride and groom.
I heat embossed my sentiment on some black cardstock using some cream embossing powder. I popped the sentiment up with some thin foam tape. Finally, to finish my card I added a few gold pearls from Kat Scrappiness.
I appreciate you stopping by for a visit.
