It is time for a new challenge over at Let's Craft and Create. Challenge #176 is AG, Things With Wings. This is what I came up with.
I started with some heavy weight white cardstock that was cut, scored, and folded to make a 4 1/4" X 5 1/2" card base. I cut a brown mat at 4" X 5 1/4". The pattern paper mat is from an older Carte Bella Autumn paper pad and cut at 3 7/8" X 5 1/8".
My image was found in Cricut Design Space and is a Miss Kate's Cuttables. I cut the image at 3.5". The branch is from another image in this image set. Since I just wanted the branch I used the hide contour feature to hide what I didn't want and changed the green leaves to a more autumn color. I used some Distress Inks in Walnut Stain and Vintage Photo to add some color and shading to my images.
I layered everything together with liquid adhesive. I then added my images to my card front with some foam tape. I used a small die from my stash to cut the sentiment out that was white heat embossed. I added some stardust stickles to the cheeks. I used my white gel pen to add some highlights to the images.
Now it is your turn. Pop on over to Let's Craft and Create and join in the fun. Add your link to your project with wings for a chance to win a fun prize.
Thanks for stopping by today.
So cute!! I love the extra shading - an oomph to the details! And his sparkly cheeks are the best!
